BlackBerry Tour officially hitting Verizon on July 12th
We’re not sure how much doubt a person could have had before, but in the interest of being crystal clear, Verizon Wireless will make the BlackBerry Tour available online and in stores on July 12th for $199 with a two year agreement. You can preorder the device starting from this moment on.

This is not news here @ BGR, the release date has been around since friday when bgr (or grrrrrrr) broke the story.
Yes we are extremely excited for it. The leap from the curve till the Tour is a huge one. But no doubt, there will come another device with more improvements down the line. But for now, tuh tuh tuh Tour! Finally!

Can someone please explain to me what the hoopla over the Tour is?
Is this supposed to be better than the Bold or something? Or is it just a cdma 8900? (I’m not a Blackberry guy, but I noticed that quite a few of you have been excited over this device, so I’m curious)

tour isn’t even a smartphone and will never compete with the G1, iPhone, Pre, and Storm muahahaha!

This will be the ONLY phone that I could stomach on Verizon. Some people have been with Verizon since 2001 and have been afraid to try other carriers so to thee faithful followers this is definitely the device to get. I don’t blame them.
I’m going to deploy these to my clients who use Verizon service. I’m really curious to get one in my hands to give my feedback. Like all phones, I’ll probably like it for a few weeks then get bored with it.

Unfortunately for me I’m going to have to wait till the end of july to get it, because that’s when I could upgrade for the 2 year pricing.
I waited for that 4 months, I could wait another 2 weeks.

The Tour doesn’t even have a touchscreen. It isn’t a real phone! Neither is my Bold! Or the E75 I am typing on currently! I paid real money and they aren’t real phones!
