HTC Sense UI still coming to Windows Mobile, one way or another

Sure TouchFLO 3D 2.5 is looking pretty amazing, but the future of HTC’s WinMo UI may be headed elsewhere. Despite the muddled availability of the new HTC Sense UI on Android devices, it appears as if its presence on Windows Mobile devices at some point in the future is a bit more cut and dry:

The Hero UI has been created specifically for HTC’s Android-based phones but also represents that three core pillars of HTC Sense. HTC’s future Windows Mobile phones will also be based on HTC Sense, but will enhance Windows Mobile in a way that is as appropriate and valuable to people.

There you have it — the Sense UI in some shape or form will appear on Windows Mobile devices in the future. Maybe that means HTC will retain the TouchFLO name and apply Sense elements to it, or perhaps we’ll see a completely new UI based on Sense. Either way, Windows Mobile 6.5 and 7 users definitely have some sexiness to look forward to.

    That is awesome news! I have always been a avid BlackBerry user, but this UI has my attention and has me wanting to switch.

    I’m waiting for the guy with enough skill to make a version of Sense UI widgets for SPB Mobile Shell 3’s lifestyle mode. Wish that guy was me lol.

    Funny how when HTC brought TouchFLO to Windows Mobile, some called it lipstick over pig. Haven’t heard the same when HTC brought Sense UI to Android.

    Does this mean that devices like the HTC touch pro2 will have a UI of Android or touch flo..or is it too soon to tell.

    I thought HTCSense was built specifically for Android. So what’s the difference between Sense and TouchFLO 3D?

    @BrianC

    Android minus HTC skins is still great. Windows Mobile minus any skins is…. well everyone knows what it is.

    Anyway when is there gonna be a good TouchFlo or Sense theme for the iPhone?
    Abeo is boring.

    @Joe the Plumber,

    Windows Mobile minus any skins is bare bone OS. A clean OS.

    this thread is looking more like a political convention than a discussion of UI

    clearly HTC has some smart developers on staff and could probably build a much better UI than Apple/Palm/MS/Google combined…

    Sense is sweet…. TouchFlo3D needs to be modified to add the Sense features ASAP… also wish HTC would make the screens capacitive versus resistive (kinda sucks the way resistive delays actions)

    that is so true, I have used blackberry and iphone, and i love the touch pro, how everything is right in the homescreen, and you, for the most part slide to what you need,Htc just needs to work on its lag, maybe that is fixed in the touch flo 2.5, which looks great from the you tube video of the Firestone,and if they do add in Sense and and a snappier processor,then it would be all butter.
