T-Mobile to hold events for the HTC Dash 3G and Touch Pro2 starting July 14th

One of our T-Mobile ninjas gave us a heads up about some business events that T-Mobile will be holding in July. T-Mobile reps will apparently be on hand in seven cities to show off the HTC Dash 3G and Touch Pro2, two devices T-Mobile is hoping will strike a chord with both business users and prosumers alike. The best part? Everyone who attends the events will receive a free Dash 3G which just so happens to drop on July 15th. The Touch Pro2 is rumored to become available on the 22nd. We’ve got the complete list of dates below and they all still have room for people to sign up — or at least they did at the time this post was written.

July 14 – San Francisco, CA
July 15 – Chicago, IL
July 16 – Los Angeles, CA
July 21 – Arlington, VA
July 22 – Houston, TX
July 23 – Atlanta, GA
July 28 – Fort Lauderdale, FL

In other T-Mobile news, we’ve also been told that a new plan for businesses is coming soon and that it will include unlimited voice and data for $59.99 a month. Yes, please.

Thanks, FrankenBerry!

well turns out those pictures of the phone are most likely not a mistake, after careful examination of the photos on this ad above and those of leaked photos of the touch pro 2 with tmobile logo, you’ll notice that the phone has now lost the chrome edging on top as well as it looks from a back shot that the chrome was taken away and replaced with bland looking black plastic. The only difference between the leaked photos and the one up top is the one up top is missing the front mounted camera lens, as in the leaked it retains it. Obviously I dont have much hope for this phone now and tmobile continues to screw loyal customers over especially when they wont update their damn frequency to 2100 not the friggen 1700/2100 crap. You cant even buy the unlocked version of the touch pro 2 because 3g will not work, only for 2100…same reason the iphone wont work with tmobiles 3g….i guess at this point i might as well buy an unlocked iphone 3gS since they will be unlocked within a week and atleast ill know its sexy looking…heres to praying they keep the chrome look…

Does anyone know what qualifications one needs to get a “business” account…that’s a sick deal for $59.99!

Oh and the only problem i see with the phone pertains to the back cover since it looks much cheaper than originally thought. Any thoughts?

Give me a break, everything is always in New York. California is the way to go suckas! No one gives a crap about the east coast, all you people do is complain.

What is the catch for the free Dash 3g. Do you have to sign up on the spot for coverage?

T-Mobile does it again!!! What the hell?!!! If the phone is indeed as pictured above and not what we’ve been seeing in the leaked photos, then forget it. I’ve been a T-Mobile customer since 2001 and, like others, have noticed how TMO is always crapping it out on new designs and features. Yes, their marketing and their design departments should all be fired at this point. I’ve patiently waited over the years for a “wow” phone from them and I’ve been disappointed every time, but always hoped and held off for a new and better design. This time I though FINALLY! but if they screw it up with what I see on the picture here, then forget it. I will no longer be one of their loyal long-haul supporters. I’m sick and tired of seeing how Verizon, Sprint and AT&T always or most of the time come out with excellent quality and innovative designs and T-Mobile customers have to settle for the poor quality designs they carry.
WAKE UP T-MOBILE USA!!!!!!! LISTEN TO YOUR CUSTOMERS!! (I hope they read these comments). As far as service, it’s always been pleasant with T-mobile, no bad experiences here and that’s what has kept me all these years, but frankly, at this point in time I believe they need to become much more creative and innovative.
The HTC TOUCH PRO II in the event announcement picture here looks very different, and cheap. No camera on the face, no chrome in the back, and the buttons in the bottom of the face are all big chunks sticking out. Very unattractive.

Dunno what phone is in that picture, but it is not a TouchPro2. The speaker is in the wrong place & so are the buttons. It looks more like a Diamond2, but that’s not quite right either.

I agree that if the TP2 is that sad taupe color they’ve lost another buyer!

Today’s Holy S*** item: Costco is selling the Dash 3G for $20! That undercuts TMO $150!

I signed up for the one in Fort Lauderdale.

Do they offer the Touch Pro 2 for free or only the Dash? Do they have the Touch Pro 2 on display at the event?
