T-Mobile to hold events for the HTC Dash 3G and Touch Pro2 starting July 14th

One of our T-Mobile ninjas gave us a heads up about some business events that T-Mobile will be holding in July. T-Mobile reps will apparently be on hand in seven cities to show off the HTC Dash 3G and Touch Pro2, two devices T-Mobile is hoping will strike a chord with both business users and prosumers alike. The best part? Everyone who attends the events will receive a free Dash 3G which just so happens to drop on July 15th. The Touch Pro2 is rumored to become available on the 22nd. We’ve got the complete list of dates below and they all still have room for people to sign up — or at least they did at the time this post was written.
July 14 – San Francisco, CA
July 15 – Chicago, IL
July 16 – Los Angeles, CA
July 21 – Arlington, VA
July 22 – Houston, TX
July 23 – Atlanta, GA
July 28 – Fort Lauderdale, FL
In other T-Mobile news, we’ve also been told that a new plan for businesses is coming soon and that it will include unlimited voice and data for $59.99 a month. Yes, please.
Thanks, FrankenBerry!

ok, might as well make my 4th more useful. This is all fine and dandy, but where the hell is the MyTouch?????? isn’t that supposed to come out soon? This Touch Pro2 has Windows…ughhh. Better question, where with the HTC Hero go???
1st, 2nd, 3rd &4th are Idiots!!
How the hell did Sprint and Verizon end up with those ugly as hell HTC devices (Snap & Ozone) when there was a style that looked this good(Dash)available to them ?!?!?
Even the Sprint Snap isn’t too bad but Wow is the VZW Ozone ugly, specially compared to the T-Mobile Dash.
wow BGR, welcome to last week’s news. Way to stay on top of things…
Is it just me or does the touch pro 2 not look the same as the earlier pictures we’ve seen of it? The edges dont look as rounded or even the crome on the edges like other pictures they have out even on the HTC website. It almost looks cheaper looking and sort of like the samsung behold. Hope its just a bad camera angle or what not.
also notice how the it actually looks like the faceplate is lighter in color making it look cheaper, and how its missing the front camera like in the older pictures….
Darien, you’re right. If T-Mobile sticks with this design, they have managed to screw up the most highly anticipated WinMo handset in years. It looks like a cheap version of the TouchPro2 whereas the Sprint/Verizon/AT&T versions all look slick like the original. I almost cried when I saw this picture and lament how T-Mobile always seems to trail EVERY major carrier in regards to desirable devices (other than Android). Don’t worry T-mobile… your streak is still intact.
I’d like to shoot whoever is in charge of their design department.
ok, what is the business capital of the world? NYC I think? at least in the U.S.!!! nice,3 place in Cali and not one in the Northeast… T-mobile does it again
well this sucks, i was really on board with waiting till the 22nd to pick this bad boy up, but i guess my option now is buy an unlocked iphone 3g now that they can be fully unlocked, or order the real HTC Touch Pro 2 at a higher price…not sure though if it would work as well as the tmobile version but I assume since its gsm unlocked there shouldnt be any problems. but are you serious, the other carriers pro 2’s are not changed and look good?
CAN ANYONE SIGN UP AND GO???
Posted from BGR Mobile (iPhone).
Attended the one in New Jersey yesterday.. waiting for my Dash.. Hoping it was a TouchPro II instead, it has a much better screen and UI
Correction: Voice is $59.99/mo with unlimited Data addding $19.99/mo to the bundle
Someone else had this info about 2 weeks ago!!
I signed up for the one in Los Angeles. Two days later, I received an email telling me that it was by invitation only and I could NOT attend.
If anyone know a way around, please tell us.
New Jersey???
Windows MObile? Check.
Back to work, nothing to see here? Check.
@Darien I spoke to the HTC Rep, while at the NYC event that was held on June 23rd, and he mentioned they were still working on the form factor. So that pic was not off the production model.
@safil as i mentioned above the NYC meeting already happened as did the NJ and the Bellvue, WA.
One last piece to mention is that the date for the Touch Pro 2 might get bumped up to space out some of the other T-Mobile releases. So we may see it available during July.
@Frankberry
Man, I just hope they don’t unleash that monstrosity into the world….Well, it’s not that bad, but comparing this TP2 with the original, it’s like a night and day change. Here’s hoping that they don’t mess it up.
Where was it in NJ? Damn I’m in Philly and would have went if it was close…
@Jay I had the device in my hand and it felt really comfortable and the screen reaction was very very smooth. They have done some GUI tweaking which is really cool. Overall the device doesnt look ugly and feels sturdier than the original.
why would they fuck with a design that was already awesome? that pic looks disapointing. i hope it was just a marketing fuck up.
so the houston date has met its capacity, now i cant go and get a free dash…
Fuck you
T-Fucking Mobile
do you hate new yorker
a single command can make ALL northeast region customers disappear in seconds!!!
T-Fucking Mobile, the most cumming churn in the entire world!!!!!!!
so for 500 i can buy the original pro 2 that we have all been seeing and have it in my hands by end of next week, or wait till the release of this and hope they dont change it. Only question is, does anyone know if you buy an unlocked version of it will you be able to add tmobile apps to it or are those only available for the tmobile version…mainly 5 fav or whatever its called…
Just got an email back rejecting me!
