TELUS rumored to be getting the iPhone in October
We typically shy away from wild rumors such as the one you’re about to read. Considering the information has been relayed by an individual with a pretty good track record with this sort of thing however, we’re going to report on it. With an extra spoonful of caution, that is. Word on the web is that Rogers and Fido don’t quite have the iPhone exclusivity deal in place we all thought they did. Apparently TELUS, currently a CDMA-only carrier, will be picking up the so called 3GS in October once it gets its upcoming HSPA network up and running. Just to be clear, we have yet to see any evidence to support this claim at all, meaning that for now it’s just one of those rumors that seems a bit too convenient. We’re not going to count it out just yet either though — it would certainly be a hell of a way for TELUS to get that shiny new HSPA network on the map.
Celz’ age and experience is extremely relevant to his exhaustive claims, as he obviously has little background from which to draw. His childish assertions [an assessment/not name-calling] are self-evident for anyone with the ability to discern the english language above a high school level. Those who disregard that this is an adult discussion will obviously be called out for their actions or words. That’s life in the real world.
I, too, would like to hear what device it was that Celz owned 4 years ago which held all of today’s features and abilities, as he has claimed.

CDMA.. Telus won’t be CDMA anymore , CDMA is crap an old technology, its about time they moved forward and upgraded big time… plus I really hope they DO relawse the Iphone cause if not I’m going to switch carriers if its not available by Jan 2010
Funny you say that the CDMA network is crap and old technology, yet when someone asks who has the best footprint in canada for Coverage, hands down everyone will always say Telus!
It actually just means he doesn’t know anything about any of the cell phone technologies since UMTS/HSPA is based off the same fundamental technology as CDMA.
And yeah, in the US, Verizon, like Telus, (EVDO) definitely has the title for best coverage and reliability. And most evil phone company.
