Adobe shows off Flash support on the HTC Hero

Mmmmm, Flash. As part of the Open Screen Project, Adobe is actively working with developers and manufacturers to make feature-rich Flash content accessible on mobile devices. In its latest achievement tied to this morning’s announcement, Adobe demos Flash support on the brand-spanking new HTC Hero — the first Android device to support Flash (officially). In short, it’s smooth, sexy and usable. Adobe’s Adrian Ludwig shows off the Hero’s Android Web browser and its ability to gobble up Flash-based video, Flash objects on web pages and even Flash-based games. There is one line in particular from the demo video that grabbed our attention though: “This is one of the first devices out there that has really great flash capabilities.” Ouch. No love for S60 handsets? Maemo tablets? Fair enough. Hit the read link to check out the demo and prepare to drool over the Hero even more than you already did this morning.

I like it…I just want to rip off the bottom portion. I guess I’m just one of the people who can’t stand the stupid “chins”. To me, it just looks out of place; the entire front side around the screen has a nice finish, then they make the chin a cheap looking plastic. It will probably look better in person though, because the entire backside has that same white plastic look.

If ever there was a phone that could possibly make an person get rid of their iPhone, this is it. I want it – of course, pending it makes it to the US somehow.

How does GPS work on your Omnia? Let me link you to the BGR article below this one.

Of course it still is you moron, at least for another couple of days. Everyone knows that at least officially it is not so much locked as it is disabled. No one ever promised stand-alone gps would work on the i910. Of course I’m never lost, so why do I care about it except as a gee whiz toy. All of you clowns who call yourselves “men” should be ashamed about being lost all the time! So which would be more useful, standalone gps or mms? What makes you idiots claim the wifi is broken? It’s just lies by jealous wankers.

I think mobile devices can live without Flash.
