1.Had Sprint issues been resolved, one would not feel to air, “petty argument over a “customer service issue” arise here on a gadget blog”.
Don’t sell me a product, and start stealing of it. Be up front about it, state in full disclosure in your monthly statement,offer compensation,adjustment, substitution pro actively,not after the fact!
It would be “a big deal”,if you were paying the bill.

2. Please read more carefuly,I never compared “specs on a phone that was released in 2006 with a phone released now”, I sited that my Samsung m610,in 2006 had a 2.0 MP camera, 95% of the Sprint 2009 lineup, still does!

4.After the Nextel merger, years ago I left to the new “Tmobile”, for 8 months, hence i am not a “Premier customer” by definition.
It is not about me, as I have said it so many times in the past.
I truly appreciate your sincerety,about finding ” a educated rep”…I agree, “Every carrier unfortunately has their bullshit, Sprint’s trying to clean up its own”.
That is why I have yet not left, I see the improvement from the dark ages of “Forsee” to “D.H.”,I hope it continues, but policies of exclusion on Instinct/Pre Flagship Phone choices for “current customers”,
“drop your plan and sign up on Everything Plans”, make it very difficult.

There is a protected class here who have the authority to spam on Sprint’s behalf. Hasn’t that been made crystal clear by now? They musta cut BG a deal on those wall-to-wall plastered banner ads that have him raking in the dough (LoL)

2. I have been off contract for 16 months, I do not “hate” Sprint, as a long time (since 1997)customer, I feel responsible to express my frustration with inconcistencies and some harmful policies, in the interest of Sprint, and the bigger picture being the consumer choices!
If Sprint fails, it will harm most consumers in the long run.
Someone at Sprint will read these, take them into consideration and make a difference, if they can.
That would be a benefit to all!

You can’t compare specs on a phone that was released in 2006 with a phone released now (including the web-os that was in development befire the m610 was even out), really listen to yourself and understand how ludicrous that sounds.

F1 was right when he said millions of customers leave Sprint. Even thought both carriers merged it’s been SPRINT customers that have left, not Nextel’s. I don’t know where you heard that one from =/

F1 you seem to be a valued sprint customer for years (11.5 if I’m not mistaken). When you are a Premier customer little issues like that can be resolved in a instant, just call up customer service and speak to a educated rep. Thats all. Don’t bottle it up and post it on BGR. Its pro-rated so the fee wouldn’t be 200 dollars, even less so in fact if your not in contract. If I were you, I’d give the Pre a try, or even the Curve. Both great devices.

P.S. Sprint cares for all of its customers, as do majority of the company *I’d be lying to say the whole company cares* Every carrier unfortunately has their bullshit, Sprint’s trying to clean up its own.

FYI, the ”millions of customers” your speaking of, were NEXTEL customers, not SPRINT customers.

And he wasnt saying the m610 is gonna match up with the pre… he is saying when the m610 came out 3 or 4 years ago, it was the latest and greatest, and now the m610 is OLD news.

None of my purchased downloaded copies work, I never got any line up change notice, but that is standard “irregularity @ Sprint”.
It is just the principle that matters.

Same here, but what else is new, Sprint sold 50.000 PalmPre units, vs. 1.000.000 iPhoneS units for Apple, just amazing AT&T even adjusted the discount policy for current iPhone customers,to keep them happy,the difference speaks volumes.

It would be the service provider’s responsibility, if I was paying CNN mobile directly, they would be the party responsible.

In that case anyone could advertise a service, and not provide it, hence being subjected to lawsuits and becoming liable for “false advertising”. As a consumer on a contract I entrust the provider for services advertised during the contract agreement, It is smart to shop around there after, but most do not have the time or the means to do so, that is why we have the FCC, to protect the consumer rights.

Are you a Sprint employee, with a bias position, look up “full disclosure”, when you pay for a service, it is their “fiduciary” responsibility and duty to provide the sevice throughout the paid period, regardless whether the consumer uses the service once, everyday or never, period.
You can not unilaterly make changes without disclosing it to the client/consumer, and when caught, say:”Ok I will credit your account, now that you found out”,that constitutes fraud!

About the Hardware, you Sir again, have no clue whatsoever, what you are talking about.
To call the Samsung m610, the PalmPre of its time, is too of the mark to even respond to.

Outdated garbage, nothing that is new, or has not been sold by SPRINT before, 2.0 MP same as my m610 of 2006!!

Sprint your funeral is at hand, hand in hand with the current outdated line up, and the enforcement of Everything Plans or exclusion of choices for flagship phones to current customers, vs the deep pocketed competition’s broad range of selection!

On a different note, just as an example of what is going on with Sprint, I met up with someone showing me ABC news on a different carrier using mobiTV, the stream was gorgeous on a Nokia E71 (I think), not to be outdone, I pulled out my Samsung m610 , went into the “channel lineup”, to pull up CNN mobile, which I have used for 5 years, guess what ? Not only is it removed, it is nowhere in any line up even for any upgrade, mind you it was standard in my package for years, for the first time the “news lineup”, is “blank”!
ABCNews is part of another premium package, what the hell, happened to CNN mobile ??
It has simply been guted, without any warning or notice!
Why? I pay my bill, month after month, year after year! How is that legal?
Do I get a reduction of fees, based on reduction of services?
I purchased 3 dozens songs of the Sprint Music site, guess what none of the legaly downloaded copies work, they pocketed the money and closed the PC download shop option and support!
These are facts, how do they do it?
They are BK period, they are going to cut back till there is nothing left to cut,and they get away with it, why do they get away you ask?
Because the FCC is also BK, they are underfunded, understaffed and simply can not provide the manpower to pursue these and other issues, and they have to pick and choose their battles, and the industry knows it, hence the blatant abuse!

I am getting ready to draft a letter to the U.S. Senate, for the purpose of the creation of a “Cell Phone Consumer Bill of Rights”!
Enough is enough!
