webOS 1.0.3 hath cometh

Got a Palm Pre and haven’t heard the news that an update for webOS is now available? Well now you have absolutely no excuse for not downloading the 13MB update that will bump you up to version 1.0.3. And why should you? Because we know darn well that you care about enhanced synchronization with Google services, Non-SSL Exchange ActiveSync support and a whole host of bug-fixing goodness. Oh, and battery life is supposedly improved. Woo!

Thanks, everyone!

Has anybody actually bought this phone?? The two I’ve played with pale in comparison re: build quality when compared to my Bold and iphone…I can’t see anyone wanting this thing unless they are locked into Sprint

I got one, and got rid of my POS iPhone and the crappy AT&T network. I was an idiot paying AT&T ridiculous rate plans.

Updated my Pre, works great. Yet again it’s always worked good for me. I will never understand why some like to have phone wars. The iphone is a awesome phone but so is the Pre. Buy what ever makes you happy.

I updated to 1.0.3 while at work this afternoon and it was great. Since the update my Pre is faster, apps launch quicker and I’m hoping that the battery works better too.

It’s good to see that Palm is improving things along the way.

Hopefully people start reporting better signals.

I don’t really use much of the items that got updated in the new os upgrade, I’m hoping to see better battery life! I love the WebOS I just wish Palm would have a more sturdy phone like the bold or iPhone, my slider is a bit scratchy on itself and my keyboard creaks like no tomorrow.

I’m waiting on the vid upgrade, love playing with my BM’s. A battery upgrade is needed though, it’s just as bad as the Renegade

you bashers are funny, my Pre works great and build quality is fine. I always have a signal, no dropped calls, Unlimited plan of $99 with live TV and web OS is sweet. What more could i ask for.

Well i guess i could have an iphone with At&t and pay $150 for the same unlimited plan. Hmmm i’ll keep that $51 a month in my pocket.

Played with a sample Pre at Best Buy today. I don’t like the feel of the physical keyboard…way too small buttons. I’ve just gotten use to a touchscreen qwerty setup I guess.

Its good to see them do the upgrades as there required. not bundled into one upgraded then announced at a big event. If they find a problem on a weekly basis fix it. My Blackberry bold has to be shut off every after noon due to memory leaks. I am loving the Pre so far the OS is a joy
