LG Tritan officially lands at U.S. Cellular
The LG Tritan was rumored to launch in June on U.S. Cellular and starting today it is officially available. The Tritan features a 3-inch QVGA touchscreen, full QWERTY keyboard, full HTML browser, 3G connectivity, music player, G sensor, Bluetooth and a 3 megapixel camera. LG Electronics MobileComm U.S.A., Inc. (LG Mobile Phones) and U.S. Cellular today announced the all new LG Tritan(TM). Customers can now enjoy a 3″ full touch-screen and sliding QWERTY keyboard, 3.0 mega-pixel camera and camcorder and 3G network speed all in one sleek wireless handset.
LG Tritan incorporates all the best of today’s mobile technology, utilizing a next generation user interface and a large 3″ touch screen with tactile feed-back. Its sturdy form factor and swift touch screen slides out to reveal a 4-line QWERTY keyboard for quick and easy messaging.
Users can tune-in to premium stereo sound from the music player via headset or Bluetooth(R) wireless technology. LG Tritan comes packed with a 3 megapixel camera and camcorder allowing users on the go to take high quality close-ups of friends and family. The phone supports up to a 16GB microSD card that is great for expanding the memory space for pictures, music and videos.
“LG Tritan is the best of both worlds – A sturdy full QWERTY keyboard and responsive touch screen,” said Ehtisham Rabbani, vice president of product strategy and marketing for LG Mobile Phones. “U.S. Cellular and LG came together to deliver a wide range of assets in this handset.”

By including easyedge(SM), U.S. Cellular’s suite of enhanced wireless data application services, LG Tritan allows customers to send and receive e-mails and provides access to news and weather applications, games and hundreds of other useful applications. The phone also comes preloaded with Your Navigator, which provides voice turn-by-turn directions and a mobile browser.

So what makes the HTC touch so good? And will some one please tell me if the trition supports a flash player in its browser so I can watch live tv, movies, and or porn……..thanks.

I have flash player on my htc touch pro but I think its only on windows mobile phones
and Roz go to your browser and type in wap.hacktherazr.com
and there should be a bar that says search for music and just type in a song name then try to download it
Matt Alexander- i went to the site from the tritan found and song and after i click on song a play button comes on and i can play the song but don’t know how or if i can save it.
well if you can play it you can probably save it.

I am with Matt Alexander on the HTC Touch Pro. The battery is TERRIBLE! I have a charger at work and in the car and I have to charge it all night! And the alarms/reminders are not reliable at all! Most of the time they don’t go off! I just bought the Tritan and haven’t gotten it in the mail yet! I can’t w8 tho!!
I got the LG Tritan. I cannot download or save content off the net. Overall tho it is much faster and realiable than the HTC Touch. IT gots all you can ever need. Even though the net connections is kinda of slow and the mouse is wack. IT IS WAY FASTER THAN HTC TOUCH. I TEXT FASTER AND GET THE GUI INTERFACE MORE THAN THE IPHONE! The vibra response from phone is great. Even though it drains the batt. Tritan is also not so much better battery wise, but certainly is better than the touch.

I just bought the blackberry flip 8230, don’t buy it, I’ve had it since last wednesday and it has rebooted 3 times, freezes up, the sound is crap, I’m taking it back today and swapping it for a LG Tritan. I think,I have a blackberry curve I use now, awesome phone, but I have been wanting a 2nd phone,
I feel you. I’ve been with Cellular One, now US Cellular, starting 1996. I have more phones, just to keep up with the times. Every other cellular units, have way more WOW! Phones. When are they ever going to really catch. They’re always testing phone, when they need to realize some of there phone sucks!

I doubt anyone will read this and reply before tommorow but I am indecisive about getting a blackberry curve and or the Lg Tritan. I have the Samsung Delve which I am currently selling if anyone is interested. The LG has similarities to the Delve but offers a few more greater options. I am not an expert on blackberry phones and I am hoping the 8330 curve is good. Us Celluar definitely needs to step up and offer more phones. Oh and the HTC Touch i had the 8600 i think….ANyways it was junk. The clarity, the functions, everything was not what i expected it to be.
Chevygirl74-I have the delve too but i just got the lg tritan an its awesome but i dnt no anything about the blackberries cause i never had one.
so i want to get the tritan on friday but im still not totally sure its the phone i want any comments about it that could help me decide pros and cons!!!
can you put a memory card in it? Does it come With one i know my rockr did!! i think it needs to have a flash camera too but if its got 3megapix then thats better than the 1somthin most have
I wouldn’t get the Tritan or the Curve because U.S. Cellular is getting the BlackBerry Tour && Htc Touch Pro 2 soon
Don’t get the Tritan… I have both the curve and the Tritan. I don’t much care what anyone elses opinion is, but I am an Agent for Alltel, and I deal with all phones day in and day out. I just recently put the Tritan on my line. The battery life sucks, and the touch screen is nothing to brag about. The Curve is BY FAR one of the best phones I have carried. Blackberry has definately done it right with this phone. It is durable, The battery life is awesome, and the reception is VERY good. And with all the apps and free downloads you can get with the Blackberry, it is hands down a 5 star phone!
