BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8230 now available from Verizon Wireless
Right on time, the Pearl Flip has made its official debut on Verizon Wireless’ website and is now ripe for the picking. Surprisingly, sort of, the Pearl Flip has already been discounted — selling for $79 after a $70 mail-in rebate and two year contract instead of the announced $129.99. Apparently, Verizon included the Pearl Flip in that $50 price drop when it ended the BlackBerry BOGO promotion. For those who prefer a more personal shopping experience, the Pearl Flip is also available in stores today. Now with the 8230ccccccc out of the way, Big Red can focus on bigger and better ‘Berrys (Tour, anyone?).
Thanks, Adam!

Ah ah ah ah Atlas!
Where is the Tour??????????????????????
Or maybe…
St st st st storm2….
O O O O Onyx…
St st st st Stratus…..

O O O O Oz?
Heard that the battery doesn’t stay long for this phone..
i’d buy that if its possible without a data(-bb) plan. somehow RIM manages to make great call/sound quality devices that beats everyone hands down.
a great clamshell, with excelent IM/msging capabilities.
getting this for my boss next week but on US Cellular.
Actually, the Storm 2 is intriguing to me personally. If I only knew when!???! VZW. Let us know before I go crazy and throw my current phone off a bridge. I’m up for an upgrade.
lol nice counter to the iphone 3g s. Don’t care for either actually.
When is the safe date to buy this phone and then return within 30 days for the Tour? End of this month safe?
does this have wifi like the pearl flip from tmob
Of course no wifi verizon ways no
@Codge
The Tour has been rumored to be going on sale in mid July (July 13). Nothing official has been announced though, but if you believe the rumors, then it would be safe to get one today.
And no, you can’t buy it without getting the data plan.
Nice Verizon.
The major carriers all require data plans, to say verizon is a jerk for doing so you should say the same to sprint and att now has even required it.
quit being a poor schmuck and either pony up the cash for a premium device, or get some dumbphone and be happy.
Hey everyone! I’m back! I missed writing comments on here. Anyway, I think the silver Pearl Flip looks cute. It’s really shiny in person! I guess liking shiny things is a girl thing…but the overall one color scheme on the phone makes it look clean and futuristic. Boygenius I’m back! Missed me??? Hahaha
Oh yeah! The Tour is one sick phone! I love the combo Bold/8900 mix look of the phone. But, for some reason the symmetrical curves and classy leather backing on the Bold wins the best look out of all the Blackberry phones that have been release thus far. I hope they make another one with the symmetrical curves that I love on the Bold. I miss my Blackberry Bold. I’ve switched to T-Mobile and currently use the Curve 8900. And when I have Bold cravings I switch to my old black 8800 for the sculpted key feel.
@nickyhilton_I bet ur cute!!!
Awww thanks toursux…and I hope your screen name doesn’t imply the Blackberry Tour…hahaha
I was just getting tired of everyone going tuh tuh tuh tour!!!That’s why I chose that name.
oh ok…lol
Its the same for all carriers u get your email from rim so blame it on them.
Besides ifyoure getting a bb why get it without email andweb to begin with. Stick with an env if that’s your thing.
I have been dying for a new phone and since my purse happens to dial numbers all the time on my pearl I decided to get the flip. However, I wasn’t due for new every two until next march and didn’t want to payfull retail. Luckily, I emailed a manager/friend of mine over at the store and he said since my line was the primary I could upgrade early since I had my pearl over a year! I was sold. Phone is great! Not too much smaller than the reg pearl when closed, but it is a nice upgrade from the orig. pearl. And thankfully now I don’t have to worry about did i lock my phone so my purse won’t call random people! Keys are larger than the pearl as well as the screen. Visual Voicemail is nice to have too. For those of you who need a reliable phone but would rather not have one of the larger, wider phones, this one is for you!
tuh tuh tuh TOUR!!! release date???
I ordered one for now until the Tour comes. The Storm memory leaks are killing me.
Let’s not forget; sta-sta- storm2! & ma-ma-magnum! Lol
Really; RIM is one bad-@$$ phone company. Don’t think there anyone out there that has the selection & quality of phones @ there!? Really… Who? Name 1! Not apple- upgraded iphone withVIDEO! Or lg/samsung are korean trash (as smartphones go, but good dumb phones)…no one come to mind!
