T-Mobile to launch the Samsung Highlight on July 15th, too
Well, we can’t have the new Dash 3G getting lonely now can we? All set for a July 15th launch alongside Tmo’s updated Dash (aka HTC Snap), our ninja just dropped screen caps of this entry-levelish full touchscreen offering from Samsung on us. It definitely has the tween demo lined up in its sights with specs that include a 3.1 megapixel camera with auto-focus, video recording support, Bluetooth, GPS, multimedia player, integrated IM and a microSD slot. No word on pricing just yet but our ninja says it will definitely be on the cheap side of the spectrum. What say you, T-Mobile customers — going for the Dash 3G or the Highlight on the 15th? Hit the jump for a larger version of the image above along with two more screen caps.
Thanks, Spenny!

I think if I had tmo I would absolutely go for the snap faster than I would the highlight. Some of samsungs phones have been pretty buggy lately

I dont understand – why these companies develop in house OS’s… slap android on that thing!
looks like the phone is pretty loaded with features… but kind cheap looking.
(dont hate)
t-mo has come up recently on their lines of phones. but i’m sticking to big red. would’nt leave her… i love you vzw!!!
I guess……… any word on the nokia n900 rover…..is it still headed to t-mobile? is it still comeing out ?
agree with Bob, slap Android on it and sold!
it will be a few years before you can slap android on a phone for any major carrier.. google wants to make its money first.. remember that guy from austrailia that made an android phone and when it was ready to release he said the screen resolution is broke and cant be fixed lmao this was the around the same time hackers had a fully functional version on my old ass sprint mogul..
celz: Android is an open-source OS. It’s free. Google doesn’t make money on it. They make money from the exposure to their Google tools from the OS (Google Docs, GMail, etc) but that’s not a mandatory part of the OS to have included. Carriers have to be members of the Open Handset Alliance before they can put Android on their phones which means they have to agree that if they make modifications to any code in the OS, they must release it to the public. Addons to the OS (like applications) could stay private though.
When is the 5.0 os coming out for the blackberry curve with the blackberry messanger?
I have already seen this phone. It will come out in 2 colors: red/orange and turquoise/light blue. I am so used to windows mobile and andriod features that I didnt want to look a second time at it. Its much curvier than the Samsung behold and a little smaller. Its really nice, but they need to change the features.
Looks a bit cheap if it’s free with upgrade or really cheap I’m getting it!! Can’t wait to get It tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It looks okay, it’s not WiFi capable. Definately lacks a “wow” factor. The T-Mobile MyTouch 3G looks way better.
This is basically the behold. Really.
