You’re right, I had CDMA PTT and it SUCKED BIG TIME..Most of the time, and I do mean MOST, it DID NOT WORK..it was/is a lousy system. At least iDEN PPT WORKS..I just wish Boost was NOT a part of SPRINT..SUCKS BIG TIME..

This phone is going to be huge for boost just like the i465 is, Im glad to see that they are starting to come out with these new devices and look forward to the future handsets. To everyone hating on iden, guess what? You dont have to use it, im in stores everyday watching people sell a ton of boost phones and no complaints.

They can’t get rid of IDEN network because of the hundreds, possibly thousands of government agencies, trucking companies, construction companies, etc. that use these phones.

And they do have a CDMA with PTT, and if you are not in REV A supported areas the PTT doesn’t work. So whats the point in getting that technology if you aren’t able to use it in places where IDEN PTT already works?

ok BGR why is everything iden now just for boost. did we forget about NEXTEL. i didnt see a mention of nextel only boost. lets remember nextel still has about 9 million subscribers. boost much less. and for those badtalking iden, if u dont like stick to your cdma or gsm phones. there is nothing wrong with iden, except for sprint buying nextel. i say this because when nextel was its own company, they pressured moto into makeing great phones, and pressured moto into advancing iden, such as working on flarion highspeed data, or the moto harmony project wich was making iden/wimax nextel phones. however sprint bought and screwed nextel, and moto figured sprint would kill of iden network, so moto didnt do anything to advance it. yeah i know there are other iden networks around world. but nextel had more iden subsribers than all other iden carriers combined. so without an independent nextel using iden. moto doesnt see much profit coming from iden. lets not forget iden was first in streaming video, even though it sucked they still did it. first in gps, best in walkie talkie, that cdma would never touch. cuz cdma ptt depends on data network, which we all know how reliable that is, and iden ptt depends on trunked radio. rememebr iden walkie talkie only cellular service to work during 9/11 and katrina. so yeah

iden is better than these haters think.just because you dont like iden dont mean it sucks.your wrong.yes its old tech but so are cellphones in general.its actully faster than making a normal phone call.like i said just because you dont like it dont mean it sucks.try one for yourself stupid

CDMA PTT has been in existance for almost a year now. CDMA PTT is slower and a battery hog.

IDEN should just die already, the technology is just garbage and provides no advantages over other tech like CDMA.
Or do people still give a rats ass about the IDEN PTT crap (and if so, why don’t they just invent CDMA PTT to replace it)

Like it or not, you gotta be happy for Boost Customers Getting Various phones Not just Candybar phones.
