iPhone OS 3.0 available today from Apple
Today is the day, folks. Get your iPhone and iPod touch ready to update ready as Apple is officially releasing iPhone OS 3.0 to the masses. As you already know — and have like voiced your opinion about several times already — the OS update is available for free to current iPhone owners and for $9.95 for iPod touch owners. Switching back to reality, the 3.0 update is set to be released today at 1pm EDT thats by Apple’s announcements.
Happy downloading and cross your fingers the system doesnt crash…you all know people asked for the day off so they can stay home and download the OS lol.

man i just want to know if its going to have flash all the other crap about fan boys and stuff is stupid and reflects a childs mind i bought my iphone because i saw it it worked well and just over all liked it. i mean if id a bought a g1 whatever the hell that it is then it would have been because i liked it i hate the itunes crap that you have to use to access my iphone thats the slowest shit ever created and is ultimately a pain in my ass. but everything else is good its just my carrier they royally suck and that would be att. call there 1-800-321-2375 support number but makesure your in a sound proof room cuz if the phone picks it up then your back to your first prompt again. “im sorry i was unable to understand you, say 1 for yes or 2 for no” my reply “2″ the voices response ” okay so that i can better help you im going to transfer you to a real live support agent” i hate that crap
Its funny, I plug in my iPhone today (June 17th), click on check for updates, and it says…..
“2.2.1 Is the current version available…..” ??? What do i have to do now?!?!?!?!?!?!? Can this not just be a bit easier? or is Canada gonna have to keep waiting?

Oh I sure as hell know about iPhone fanatics on other articles, I often read PreCentral because I like to track the development of that platform and I shoot down iFanboys there all the time. I don’t even have a Pre! Amazing isn’t it?
So you’re justifying coming on here to bitch me out for saying what I said, only because other people do it to you? Grow up. I LIKE COMPETITION, which is why I support other platforms meeting and beating Apple’s standards. I just don’t like people saying “Congrats, now your phone can do what mine has done for (3) years,” as if they need validation that they have a better phone because of some functionality.
So god bless Android for trying, but that platform needs to get it together as well, lest WebOS surpasses you, which I think it will, and no more commas from now on, I promise, k?
I checked for the update and as of 11:30AM EST there is NO update available and the apple website makes no reference to it’s release….i NEED it!!!!
OK, I’ve all ways been pro Gates, anti Jobs.No freaking way I was going to own an Apple product. But low and behold I purchased an Iphone last week……Love it. Tried many of my friends phones….Pre,Bold,etc,ect. None really compared to the Iphone. So,all you haters that are constantley berating Iphone users let get someone who can argue at your level……..Sorry guys , forgot my 3 yr old can’t type.

hey bill m will the new os have flash. and will you be able to download directly to your iphone or will you have to still use itunes download your movie from utorrent or whatever your getting then convert your movie then copy it to itunes then sync it or will i just be able to transfer my movie straight to my iphone using my pc btw im pro gates too gateway is the shit when it comes to support they got customer support sewed up im sure of it.
Everyone should stop focusing on which phone is better. Of course, iphone users will say iphone, bb users: bb, G1 user :G1, etc. We all purchased our phones for particular reasons. To each his own. It’s quite funny how people seem to be hung up with trying to berate someone over their preference of phones. Please grow up!!!

You can buy and rent movies directly from the device. Flash is not supported yet. You can login to youtube as well.
Can I give you some advice though? Use punctuation and grammar, your posts are hard to read because I have to decode and translate, then figure out what you’re trying to ask, all while comprehending more and more information because there are no periods. I’m kinda of new to the iphone, but I Bought a conversion program from Xilisoft that I,m playing with to convert movies to put on my iphone.

I’ve had the Gold Master edition since it came on the torrents last week. I think more than anything it injects some life into the platform. 2.2.1 had me bored to tears but now we get to see some interesting stuff with Push, C/P, and dock accessibility.
