iPhone OS 3.0 available today from Apple
Today is the day, folks. Get your iPhone and iPod touch ready to update ready as Apple is officially releasing iPhone OS 3.0 to the masses. As you already know — and have like voiced your opinion about several times already — the OS update is available for free to current iPhone owners and for $9.95 for iPod touch owners. Additional information is available at Apple’s website and the fun will begin when you sync with iTunes. Wow 3.0 for the iphone!! But where is it? Its 8am EST. and no update yet..C’mon Apple wake up..Rise and Shine! I got emails and documents to cut, copy, and paste. And alot of MMS messages to send. Ok, im a lil impatient..Ive been up since 5am..It feels like christmas..Ok were waiting. Thanks BGR!

You wont be doing any MMS’ing if you have ATT.
They are trying to find a way to charge extra for that. (Just my opinion)
But hopefully we will see it soon.

Mannn! i just saw that fine print that says MMS coming in late summer..Well i bought my iphone 3G factory unlocked in Italy. I should be able to send MMS with Tmobile? Planning on switching to ATT soon to get the 3Gs..
Hmmmmm…Hooked my Iphone to Itunes this morning and the update date changed from June 17 to June 24.Could it be a delay?

You may want to stay with t-Mobile. Were I live, TMO’s EDGE is just as fast as ATT’s 3G network.
But that’s just were I live.
Current time rumors are: 12PM EST – 2:30PM EST.
MMS will be available later this summer, and if you have a TEXT plan it’s no extra charge.
I’ve had no issues with AT&T here in the states. 3G is blazing fast compared to Edge. Thank God I don’t live in some 3rd world country, in some mud shack…
Funny how its BIG news when basic features come to a iPhone!! Switched to a BOLD a while ago and it was one of the best decisions I have ever made!!!

Thanks for your input. I prob will stick with T-mobile. It just bugs me that everyone else overseas on board with MMS except FRIGGIN AT&T. Who puts out a device on a Network that isnt even ready.. Friggin AT&T. They should go bankrupt for that one. Tmob is making a killing off of overages from MMS or SMS or whatever.

Check out this quote from today’s USA Today, and I’m not making this up “Once the upgrade is complete (to HSPA) — by 2011, AT&T says — “3G S owners will have a significantly better experience”. 2 years??? ROFL!! Have fun waiting future 3GS users.
