Wow does this site need some moderators to step up today. I’m sick and tired of ready comments that are not even relevant to the posts. If you don’t have an iPhone, the WTF are you doing posting about it? Get a life and quit clogging up the comments sections.

    Hey Mike,

You realize that the problem isn’t Apple or the iPhone, but rather your application right? BeeJive will need to update their app now to support push notifications.

So can I open up a GPS tracking program to track my location and then watch a video while the gps program is still working? Can I have 2-3 background apps running at the same time (for instance on the G1 I have GPS tracker, latitude, and locale always running). Can you listen to music while browsing the internet?

Maybe I am a prick but so are 90% of the iphone users (and Mac users) i meet.

Here is your typical iphone user:

iphone 1.0 “Multi-touch is the greatest thing ever nothing else on the phone matters if your phone doesn’t have multi-touch then it is inferior. No one needs copy paste, mms, multi-tasking, tethering, a compass, or gps.”

iphone 3G “Phones must have multi-touch and GPS otherwise they are inferior. No one needs copy paste, mms, multi-tasking, tethering, or a compass”

    Soon we will here this:

iphone 3G S “Phones must have multi-touch, GPS, copy paste, mms, and a compass or they are inferior. No one needs multi-tasking or tethering.”

Apple has built an entire marketing strategy on attacking their competitors (look at there i’m a mac and i’m a pc commercials). However when someone brings up valid criticism of an apple product the fanboys go crazy.

It is great that apple is finally adding features that have been in other phones for years. However, it is going to get annoying listening to the fan boys saying how great their phone is because it has features that I have had in my phone for years.

And by the way out of all the features I listed above the most important feature to me is multi-tasking. The lack of multi-tasking is the single biggest flaw of the iphone.

If you download the torrent for the pre-release of 8.2 itunes, and after download the att_us.ipcc(carrier settings file for at&t) you’ll be able to do mms. 9to5mac has everything you need to do this. I’ve been on 3.0 and sending/receiving pics for a week with my iphone 3g on AT&T. good luck.
