iPhone 3.0 now available for download
There’s not too much to say other than, go get your download on. IPhone OS 3.0 is not available, as is OS 3.0 for the iPod Touch. Let us know what y’all think of the 3.0 update!

I’m not upgrading the Touch again for $10, that’s for damn sure. 2.x is fine.
I’ve had it for a week now! I got it from tinyurl.com/get30now !!!! I’d reccomend it if the traditional download is going too slow !!!

Is anyone else having a problem getting the keyboard to go to landscape in safari. The apple website says its in the update, but not for me.
yes.. it works in notes, mail, and messages.
Is there a way to download the 3.0 update outside of itunes? I am at work and itunes store works but not the iphone check for update button.
there’s a bug… you have to select an area to enter text while in landscape mode in order to use the keyboard in landscape mode.
In other words.. if you select an area then try to turn to landscape, it won’t turn.

No, it cannot really multitask! Fanboys, Yuck. 3.0 firmware is a huge step in the right direction, but push notifications are not multitasking. Copy and paste: cool, MMS and tethering: even cooler(provided AT&T lets you do it). Never had a problem with the iphone, Just AT&T. Come to think of it, the only things that AT&T have going for it are the facts that its GSM(loved sim swapping, miss it dearly), and that its better than Tmo. Different strokes for different folks guys, plain and simple. On Sprint now, came from Verizon ported my number and I can definitly see an ETF in my future. Thems the breaks
Just installed it. Runs great, and everything works fine for me. Landscape mode runs perfect and Dan mentioned about issue getting the keyboard to go landscape in Safari – I don’t have an issue with it. Only one thing, how do you send MMS via text??
You need to switch it into landscape before opening the keyboard up.
WOW this is bullshit i stayed up all night for nothing. wow i can type sideways. i want to send pictures like i could in 1996 with my analog nokia WTFWTFWTFWTF.

Just got done downloading 3.0. Works great. Now on iTunes if you search a band, you can look up music videos and movies as well as podcasts. Too bad AT

For the record
-no multi-tasking
-push notifications on a few apps
- no MMS till end of september ( at&t is working with legal to up charge the service or put caps )
-God Verizon!!! Pick up the iphone and leave at&t in the dust
- oh yea if you bought the 3G last year? Prepare to be screwed trying to get the 3g(s)
