Beginning Sunday, June 14th and running through Saturday the 20th, Best Buy Mobile will be offering up the following deals on Verizon Wireless’ BlackBerry Storm:
- Premier Silver members are eligible for a FREE Verizon Wireless BlackBerry Storm (with 2-year new activation)
- All Reward Zone members can get a Verizon Wireless BlackBerry Storm for $49.99 (with 2-year new activation)
To be eligible, you’ll have to sign up on the Reward Zone site by Saturday the 13th so get on it or you’ll be stuck paying $99.99 like everyone else. Anyone planning to snag one?

Storm2 is intriguing. Or the Tour (if they ditch the roller ball). My roller ball didn’t last a year w/o having issues. Like right now it won’t scroll left OR down! But later it will work. Why? And don’t get me started on having to pull the battery. I’m up to at least once a day now. Wish Verizon had something different in the smartphone category. I hear too much negative on WinMo. Help VZW! Your the only provider that covers where I need to go/travel.
P.S. Its Father’s day on the 21st. Hook a daddy up VZW. I’m not going to shell out for an out of date clearing house! Your still pimping the 8830 for christ’s sake! Let’s see the new hotness!
People that like the storm have very low standards. I had the phone for months and nothing but problems. .148 helpped but still a pos.

I purchased a BB Storm about 5 weeks ago…kept it for two days and returned it to Verizon and purchased a Samsung Omnia. I hated the Storm and it was buggy, etc. When I found out that there was a major update to the storm that came out last week I ditched my Omnia on Ebay & went and bought another Storm then updated it to the latest software. I have to say it is a 100% improvement. So for everyone knocking the Storm…do the UPDATE then give it a try and see how you like it. I love the my Storm now and it is without a doubt the closest thing to the Iphone I have ever owned and I now have the greatest network (Verizon) to back it up. (FYI–I did the iphone craze and loved my Iphone but ATT network sucked so I went back to Verizon). Remember DO THE STORM UPDATE that just came out last week and I am pretty sure there would be a lot more happy campers using the Storm.

I love my Storm. I had one problem with syncing contacts to my Mac, but the latest OS update corrected that lingering issue.
I don’t reboot, I don’t have to take out/reinsert the battery, I don’t have dust getting under the glass. Typing is not difficult. I don’t know what folks are talking about when they mention these things. Phone works great, e-mail works great, websites work well, my iTunes list works well, iPhoto photos look great. A 16gb memory card I added keeps it all together.
This last OS update works so well that I would now hesitate to get an iPhone (even though I thought I would jump to it when Verizon gets it). I’m a happy Storm owner.
Does anyone know if this includes upgrading from an older phone? I’m not overly familiar with the phone industry (just enough to know I usually get a free one every two years), but I’m looking into getting a Storm as an alternative to paying out the wazoo for an iPhone (since I’m on VZW with my family).
