Ya, this is probably inventory clearance in preparation for the Storm2.
Could also be that Verizon wants to prevent ppl from jumping ship to AT&T for the Iphone3GS.

The Storm has a very slick look imo, too bad it had so many flaws with it. Hopefully Storm2 will be a different story tho.

storm two-ur? But seriously, think of this cheap/free storm purchase as an investment in the hopes that one day RIM will release an OS that allows this device to live up to it’s full potential.

It’s funny how people that don’t own the phone have so many negative things to say about it. I own a Storm and it’s a wonderful phone. Does it have it’s issues? Sure. So does every other phone out there. My iPhone is no better than my Storm but if reading comments by most “non” owners were any indication you’d think the Storm was the biggest POS on the planet and it definitely isn’t!

all the negative chit chat about the storm kills me. i own the storm and was a previous iphone owner and would not trade my phone for that or anything else out right now. i definitely am waiting for the storm 2 though.

I used to own a storm. bought it the first day it came out. between now and then i went through four of them because of various hardware related issues. the os is abysmal i finally didn’t want to deal with it anymore and a few weeks ago i dumped it on ebay while it was still worth something and now i have the 8900. its like night and day and i feel like a new person without that pos dragging me down. for every person that is happy with the storm i gaurantee there’s 1 or 2 that think its a pos but are stuck with it because of there contract.

    @ CJ,

To respond to your “non owners”, well I owned the Storm and me tell u i was so excited to get it when it came out, but it turned out to be a big let down.
For starters, don’t try to restart, remove battery or anything that involves rebooting (and u will). Because it takes about a 1 1/2 minute get back to working order. And what’s up with automatic rebooting, sometimes it resets itself. I thought it was the phone, so I sent it back to get a replacement and the 2nd Storm did the same thing (not good if you’re in an emergency).

And don’t get me started with the clickable screen, for dust it’s their new home. Dust gathers between the space to have daily meetings, it’s crazy.
Really disappointed and now you’re going to have some suckers jumping on that deal with Best Buy. STOP!!!! DON’T DO IT!!!!!! Your pockets will thank you later.
