iPhone 3G S gets unboxed early, not a whole lot going on
The folks over at iTalkiPhone have picked up an iPhone 3G S early and have unboxed it for all to see. Of course, there really isn’t a whole lot to see since it looks almost exactly like its predecessor save for a couple engraved markings. We were also hoping that it would be like other unboxing sessions where pictures of the contents would be taken, but it’s only the phone and the box. If anything looks different, the bezel seems a little more prominent than the iPhone 3G (it even pops a little on the box image), but it could also be the lighting conditions. We’re just a week away from the launch of iPhone 3.0 OS and the new device, so maybe these pics will inflame that spark you have inside for new, shiny toys.

im waitin for iPhone to go to Verizon Wireless because AT&T is not so good in my area and I rather CDMA….have you heard the call quality on Verizon Wireless? pristine and also you get coverage in places like emu farms and other ridiculous rural areas
b o r i n g . . . i would expect at least some cosmetic changes or upgrades, im over this basic design, there are tons of ways they could make slight changes…
I have never seen more complaints about a phone that does everything. You keep waiting on those Blackberry phones while I am playing with my new Iphone. Its funny how the 3G was the greatest phone ever except it needed copy and paste, video and a landscape key board. Now it has all that and more and yet people still complain. Enjoy trying to figure out how to rent a movie and watch it on your Blackberry.
does it look to anyone else like the screen is slightly (a lot?) less glossy when exposed to the reflection in the 3rd shot? the reflection in the screen seems unusually “fuzzy” and undefined, almost as if a matte screen protector had been applied. could that be the oleophobic coating they’ve been touting on the 3GS page on Apple’s website? just a thought…

Just the fact that people have nothing better to do than come on here and make fun of people who buy or use the iPhone, makes me realize that the iPhone is still the King.

This is always what Apple does; they have a great design one year, and for the next year they update the hardware while keeping the ID.
iPhone 4G will almost certainly take the iPhone in a new direction, just like the current crop of Apple notebooks has gone off in a new direction.
This is the exact reason I don’t buy apple products ….blah
