LG Neon lands at AT&T for a cool $29
LG’s entry level messaging phone, the Neon, has landed at AT&T. Officially announced back in March, the QWERTY side slider is now available from AT&T for a mere $29 after a $50 mail-in rebate and a 2-year contract. The Neon packs the typical entry level fare including:
- GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/1800/1900 MHz
- 2.4-inch, 240×320 touchscreen display
- 2 megapixel camera
- Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR
- 14MB on board memory, expandable up to 4GB via microSD
- Music ID, MEdiaNet, Mobile email support
- Weight: 3.81 ounces
- Size : 4.0 x 2.0 x 0.66 inches
Available in lime green, the Neon would make any non-discriminating, text messaging-happy tween quite happy. Moving along…
Checked this phone out in Montrèal about 2 weeks ago. It’s actually a pretty cool device. Looks snazzy. Not an iPhone. But definatly cool

I respectivaly disagree, I think its one of the ugliest devices I’ve seen in person…
This could be a nice alternative for parents whose kids want an iPhone, but aren’t willing to pay the monthly data charges it brings about.
How in the world is this phone being compared to the iPhone?? Completely different phones, people!!
Should be noted that the touchscreen is not worked into the entire OS, just dialing and some other minimal functions. You do not navigate the menus and such with the screen, rather the directional pad. All in all, still a nice teen/kid phone.
wow thas nice havent really noticed how phone prices had been dropping i remember when i pay 300$ for a fraking razr …i hit my self everytime i remember that lol

I don’t know what the heck Michael is doing comparing it to iPhone, but I see what Cliff is saying. My son wants an iPhone, and mainly uses it to text his mom because he can’t type on his BlackBerry Pearl very well. This phone will make him happy because of the keyboard, and the price is very good for that too.

We sell this phone at Rogers at it breaks all the time! Biggest pos we sell! Save your time and money and get something else.
