iPhone Video to launch Monday after WWDC announcement?
In what would truly be a direct and devastating assault on Palm and it’s upcoming Pre handset, Gear Live is reporting the new iPhone Video may launch as soon as this coming Monday following a WWDC announcement. Though this is hardly confirmed for the time being, Gear Live has proven reliable on several occasions in the past. According to the site, the iPhone Video will be available in three sizes — 8GB, 16GB and 32GB — with most of the rumored goodies we’ve been hearing about lately. The iPhone Video will initially be available in limited supply from Apple locations while a second, smaller model will be released at a later point in time. The smaller 4GB model will reportedly not be sold in Apple Stores. Again, a Monday release is just hearsay for the time being but with all of the heat Palm has attracted with the Pre, we wouldn’t be surprised if Apple fast-tracked the launch in an attempt to deal Palm and Sprint a swift death blow right out of the gate.

yes, and i saw a video saying aliens came down to earth and shagged sheep. doesnt mean its true. engadget (who had the best review, sorry bgr) said that the battery could last all day even with the multitasking

Well, with regards to battery life, the good thing is that even if the Pre’s battery life isn’t as good as I would like, I can still carry a spare and swap when necessary
I thought about jumping on the iphone bandwagon but then I realized I actually have to work for a living. A business guy I am and my new phone needs to be for business as well.

Pre may compete with iphone for a few months. The Pre release date was the kiss of death.
The new iPhone launches every June, if anyone is trying to jump on someone else’s launch date it’s Palm not Apple. Probably not the best planning on Palm’s part. I’m a happy Storm user so it’s not that I’m defending Apple. This just seems obvious to me.
Given the whole FCC testing procedure that they have to go through, how would Apple even pull this off? Seems like they have wanted to do this before and simply couldn’t because of the red tape required.

I like the matte black finish on the back but the chrome ring around the screen gives it an elegant quality look. plastic around the screen is not so nice. I just hope they improved the CPU/ram and the camera I don’t know why they are going to release the 4gb? I mean they could have the 8GB as low end since its capable of the video now you need at least 8gb even if you don’t use it as music player I hope they drop the prices a bit like this maybe?

@jack tee, you do realise that when the new iPhone OS comes out that it will have video, MMS, and copy/paste among many other things right? Not to mention the Pre doesn’t support flash either.

yes the iphone is kind of boring but coming from a slow blackberry 8310 my iphone runs circles around it, at least with the iphone you dont get the hourglass of death and have to pull the battery, when iphone os 3.0 comes out ill be happier with the fact i can MMS copy and paste thats all i really care about to be honest. im no apple fanatic i think there laptops and desktops are way to overpriced, so my iphone is a far into apples domain i will tread, im Unimatrix and im a PC lol, Visa sucks bad, but windows 7 is by far a much better OS than vista. windows ME and Visa where epic fails.
