iPhone Video to launch Monday after WWDC announcement?
In what would truly be a direct and devastating assault on Palm and it’s upcoming Pre handset, Gear Live is reporting the new iPhone Video may launch as soon as this coming Monday following a WWDC announcement. Though this is hardly confirmed for the time being, Gear Live has proven reliable on several occasions in the past. According to the site, the iPhone Video will be available in three sizes — 8GB, 16GB and 32GB — with most of the rumored goodies we’ve been hearing about lately. The iPhone Video will initially be available in limited supply from Apple locations while a second, smaller model will be released at a later point in time. The smaller 4GB model will reportedly not be sold in Apple Stores. Again, a Monday release is just hearsay for the time being but with all of the heat Palm has attracted with the Pre, we wouldn’t be surprised if Apple fast-tracked the launch in an attempt to deal Palm and Sprint a swift death blow right out of the gate.

Well, in my opinion, Palm only has themselves to blame. They announced the Pre in January. It’s fracking June. Anything but a Q1 launch was going to result in them going head-to-head with an iPhone launch. Stupid Palm. Stupid. As my law professor once said, “if you’re stupid, you must suffer”.

Considering iphone 3.0 is still in beta stages and judging previous betas still got a few more to go i find it highly unlikely that a new iphone will be launched on monday

c’mon guys.. if Apple announces the new iphone on monday ( i hope they will), the i won’t be for sale ’til middle july… the assemblage of the parts of the new iphone have just started.. so it will take a while before all iphones are ready.. and Apple is not going to produce faster because Palm sells the Pre now.. that’s not Apple-like… they are always calm and cool, they know that the people who want a good mobile will wait for the new iphone
If you look through the website that said this, if you go only to page 3, all the stories are from 2004… so either it’s complete garbage, or this website’s information is soooooooooooo good that the only update when ever they’re TOTALLY sure of it!!….. I think this is probably BS..

Apple has to address cracks, light leaks, dust and loose buttons in the next update to the iPhone or they won’t grow. They got a bad rep as it is… 3G issues on top of that too.
No copy paste, mms or video. Pre is the best. Treo rocked and changed the game. Iphone is stale and boring. Blackberry rocks out the show like a dingleberry on Jobs butt
