Nokia 5800 XpressMusic headed to Rogers

Well hello there, mister Blurrycam. It seems that lately, Rogers is all about firsts. Yesterday, Rogers released the world’s first two Android handsets north of the border. Hell, even Joshua Jackson came out to celebrate. Next up for the carrier — Nokia’s first S60 5th Edition handset, the 5800 XpressMusic. According to promotional signage found in various The Source locations, the 5800 is well on its way to joining the Motorola ROKR E8 and the upcoming Sony Ericsson W705 to form a solid music phone lineup. No pricing yet unfortunately and as for release timing, we have word that not all Rogers employees have received training on the device so it could be a while. Apparently The Source got a little excited. So… If Pacey was on hand for the Magic and Dream launch, do you think Rogers will be able to break Joey out of whatever cage Tom Cruise is keeping her in for the 5800 launch?
Thanks, Hassan!

I was right !!
2nd!!
wow that looks cool
F U patrick!
“I’m so sad Pacey, can I get a hug?”
“Sure Joey.”
“Oh my Pacey, is that a Nokia 5800 XpressMusic handset from Rogers in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?”
“Well both actually…my cute brainwashed scientologist.”
“Huh?”
“What?”
Pause.
“I’m confused Pacey.”
“I know you are. But here is the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic handset from Rogers for you.”
“Yey!! I love you Pacey!”
“I know”
Great music phone, terrible smartphone. Why oh why can’t Nokia put a dedicated sound chip in all their phones.
where are the tour trolls for this post?
@maxpayne79 Hilarious.
I’ve had the two 5800 signs (there is another one at the front of the store) for a few weeks, but the stock number on the poster isn’t even in the system yet and internal emails are very vague about when it will actually show up.
We had the w760 on posters for months before it was released, and same with the c905. I just got my dummy model for the c905 and the w705, but no actual phones.
Aloha from Hawaii. My name is Tim, aka Cellular-Decay.
I’m a Computer, Gadget geek from way back. Besides computers and gadgets, I also enjoy photography, snorkeling and SCUBA diving, fast cars and even faster women (or is that the other way around?). Just kidding about the fast women, so no offense to the ladies here. Wink I also enjoy astronomy, and being a computer, gadget geek, of course I also like video games.
In spite of my fascination with gadgets, I only recently got into fancy cell phones (”smart” phones). I used to carry a basic phone and a PDA, because I didn’t like what was available in “convergence” devices. It just seemed like they were too much of a compromise.
The Nokia 5800 XpressMusic “Tube” seems to have changed my mind, since my old Razr and Zodiac have been collecting dust lately. There are things the Zodiac did better, but I’m still early in the learning curve for the 5800, and I’m pretty confident that with some more time (and applications) I will find it easy to forget the old Z.
There are, of course, lots of things the 5800 does better, so even if I can’t totally forget the Z, I’m sure I won’t have any regrets.
Oh well..I hang out at http://www.Nokia5800Forum.com a lot. take care all. See ya ’round.
