LG Tritan gets pictured on its way to U.S. Cellular
Earlier today we firmed up a whole mess of U.S. Cellular release dates through the end of June. Of course, some of the handsets were more exciting than others and it just so happens that one of our ninjas snapped a live shot of the LG Tritan, due out on June 8th — definitely one of the more exciting phones due out for the small carrier this month. To recap what we know so far about this side-sliding beauty, it sports a 3-inch QVGA touchscreen, full QWERTY keyboard, full HTML browser, music player, G sensor, Bluetooth and a 3 megapixel camera. As far as pricing goes, nothing is confirmed yet but we’re hearing it could be $100 or less after rebate — and don’t forget, a $20 per month data package will be required. Got my phone last night. Was up til midnight playing with it. Love it so far! It is pretty heavy, but I’m coming from a Razr. Love the functions and how easy it is to use. Just hope the honeymoon lasts!!

okay, well i really need a new phone cuz.. i got my banter back AGAIN yesterday night. and it worked perfectly! and then this morning when i woke up it only works with certain buttons. well im going to the store again to see what they can do for me! but i think i jus need a new phone and this is the phone i want!

Getting mine today. What’s nioe I’ve noticed with th einstore demo, it’s easy to move around from what I was messingwith. Also, for texting, it has on screen touchpad OR you can slide it out for the full qwerty keyboard as well. And of course the screen rotates either direction (horizontally or vertically.
And yes to all wondering, the Premium data package is required. In my area, it’s $150.00 with a $50.00 mail in rebate. Switching from the Blackberry Curve 8330 I tried for 30 days and just was too much of a hassle.
We’ll see how I feel about the new LG here in a few weeks after I dig into it and figure more things out on it.

U.S. Cellular is a carrier in Oklahoma and Texas.
I got this from Alltel which is in the process of switching to Verizon. I’ve had it for a couple of weeks now. I am no cell phone guru but I like it. I was wondering why I can’t find it listed with Verizon though. Also I am in rural eastern Oklahoma and my reception has improved tremendously.

You can get free ringtones at myxer.com. They work great with the Tritan. The Tone Room ones are $2.99 each !
I have alltel version so mxyer wont work for me..and it is under the phone..instant messaging
I’m wondering if anyone knows if you can turn the txt message, voicemail, pic message sound on silent or just to vibrate instead of having to choose a ringtone?? I just got this phone yesterday and haven’t been able to find a way to do this yet. I have the US Cellular version. Thanks!
Krystle-when you go to sound setings just touch screen til it say silence all or to vibrate touch til it say vibrate.
I too have been unable to find the silence all function on this phone. Vibrate only isn’t good enough for work.
hi folks, cant decide to which phone to upgrade from my motorola (not flip phone), just for a bigger screen and better camera. I had my USCell. motorola over 2 years with never any problem. Im curious if the LG tristan is made of as good quality, I noticed it has the highest hearing aids compatibility, but what bothered me in store the dark either black or brown wallpaper the associate could not change to a more friendly lighter color, anyone has an idea if this can be changend?? TX
simi-yes you can change the main,widget,contacts,mulimedia,lockscreen to different wallpapers.

Hey I have the LG Tritan and it will let me download it but when I do it just lets me play it and wont let me save it to my phone… I figured it would save automatically but it just downloads and plays … then i dont see any buttons to press to save? Does anyone know how to? Bc Myxer says it is compatable with the phone!
