BlackBerry Tour hits Bell, kind of

We just got these lovely photo snaps from one of our Bell ninjas. It’s official promo material from Bell, and big surprise, no release date listed. However, these do list the specs (which we’re all very, very aware of), but we’ll post them up for those of you wishing June 6th never comes:
- Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE, UMTS/HSDPA 2100MHz band only
- GPS
- 480×360 display
- 3.2 megapixel camera with autofocus, flash, image stabilization
- Video recording
- QWERTY keyboard
- OS 4.7.1 but possibly OS 5.0 at launch
Couple more shots after the jump!

ehh very LAME…but then again its for business costumers, not consumers
Oh so sexy can’t wait for telus to get it.
As I have just been told this device will hit the market mid july on Telus! Time for an upgrade. Getting sick of my storm
probably a 3 year contract for $299
What does June 6th have to do with anything?
i have a problem with the specs, Bell runs on CDMA network and not GSM, you can clearly see the 1xEV on the status bar. So I don’t understand how it can be a quadband GSM phone…please get the specs right
YES!!! finally more TOUR info. I love ya BG
Am I the only one who thinks this phone is really ugly?
The flat-ish top + the round bottom isn’t very attractive at all.
Telus is getting it June 22nd.
Fake! Says 1xEV top right of display…
BG…whats up with that??
NO WIFI!!! I’ll Pass
@dr-g WORLD PHONE
I’m pretty sure I read the (very, very) permalinks correctly so i’ll go ahead and stick my neck out on this one…. They state that the TOUR has GSM quad band AS WELL AS Bell/Verizon CDMA bands.
Compatibility overseas for our (unfortunate) CDMA brethren
Agreed this post seems to clear it up:
http://www.boygeniusreport.com/2009/04/18/blackberry-9630-review-part-1/
they crippled the phone again. NO F#@&!ng Wi-Fi. Bell and Rogers are the worst companies in the world period. its F#$&!ng 2009 already still not WiFi? Bell screws every phone. something with Storm no wifi. I would not buy a phone that doesn’t have WiFi
@Dylan
the Tour isnt suppossed to have WiFi, the Atlas is….i think. I might have them mixed up.
Wow Bell has the ugliest wallpapers ever…lol
All phones on the CDMA show the 1XEV on the top. My Telus one does and the bell ones also.
And Telus is dated for June22
@EP do you have any proof about the Telus launch date of June 22nd?
@sick
The Tour is not going to have WiFi.
The Atlas (AKA the Storm 2) is reported to have WiFi.
I CANNOT wait until the Tour comes for Verizon. I need an upgrade BAD!
Even the link (www.blackberry.com/tour) at the end of ‘Key Features’ doesn’t work!
Something is not rite abt this…
@Dylan
Verizon, which sells many more of the Blackberry product for the RIM brand, is the likely culprit for the lack of wifi. They love crippling their phones.
*snickers*… he said business costumers…
BG, any new info on Verizon’s 9630? Have you heard anything concerning whether or not the July 13th-17th release time frame is still holding up? Thanks.
Yeah. agree with the above, no mention of the CDMA in the specs. (I’m NOT cuncluding that its fake. But still….) And it clearly has an EVDO on the top right corner.
We’d like answers.
@ steven glansburgh.
Do I smell jealousness????????
