Verizon to launch Motorola Rival A455, Casio Exilim C721 on June 10th
June looking a bit boring for you? Not enough phones launching already?. Well you’re in luck as one of our ninjas just came through with two more handsets to throw onto the pile in June, this time from our pals at VZW. First up, the QWERTY-sliding Motorola Rival A455. Since making a brief appearance earlier this month, not much has been heard from this tween-centric handset. Other than the fact that the initial model number was wrong — it’s the A455, not A445 — you’re looking at a slide-out QWERTY keypad, EV-DO connectivity, GPS, Bluetooth and a 2.0 megapixel camera. Woo hoo. Next up is the only-slightly more intriguing Casio Exilim C721. We’re sure you remember it. The C721 sports military-grade dust and water resistance, a 5.1 megapixel camera and a swiveling WVGA display. Pricing is not yet available for either phone but you can expect them both to drop on June 10th.

Say what you will about this phone. It really doesn’t matter. Verizon will sell a shit-ton of this little guy, along with all of the other little tweener texters they’re about to drop.

I’m with Nate. All you berry fanboys don’t realize that there is a completely different demographic out there just looking for a little phone with a keyboard. LG Neon has sold like crazy for that very reason and you guys ripped it a new one too.

it’s got a full HTML browser, but I don;t see why when the window is smaller than a chocolate2.
it’s for the kids, it’s cheap, and it will sell like hotcakes because of that.
combine this with the env3 and envTouch, alias2, and some other random fullkeyboard phones, and verizon is clearly taking the smart approach and marketing to the kids who wants a phone every 3 weeks, and their ignorant myopic parents just keep buying and buying.
they have always had a decent low end full keyboard lineup, thier middle ground phones have sucked, and their smartphones flare form nice, to crap, and back to nice almost in a perfect cycle.
expect a “nice” cycle to be coming on smartphones soon…otherwise, this isn;t for people who read this blog, this is for the KIDS of people who read this blog.

Man….whats with Verizon and these crappy phones? Sprint gets the Pre, T-Mobile gets Android, and ATT gets the iPhone and the Android/Google phones? I am ready to jump ship once my contract ends with VZW unless they get better phones.
