Apple introducing six new versions of iPhone; iPod nano update imminent?
With WWDC just around the corner, iPhone rumors continue to spike as expected. This time, word is that there will be a few variants to Apple’s smartphone; six, to be exact. As speculated before, it will come in two storage capacities as it always has — presumably 16GB and 32GB this time around. The rumored matte-finished iPhones will also come in three different models according to iLounge however, each supporting different radio protocols: 3G, enhanced 3G and TD-SCDMA depending on region. iLounge also reports that a new iPod nano is in the works, featuring a wider 1.5:1 screen, integrated digital camera and a smaller click wheel. No word just yet as far as storage capacity is concerned but now that the ball is rolling, expect rumors and/or speculation to start flowing pretty freely. According to the source, the new nano will drop around the same time as the new iPod Touch — sometime this Summer.

You sir must have not used or owned an iphone. 2.2.1 is very stable. Almost all of apples updates have been very stable. If you wanna bitch about a company giving up on a product, look at the storm. Please take your incorrect comments else where.

Camera would not be behind the click wheel at all… basic ergonomics…
Having a clump of fingers trying to hold the thing aim and shoot..
It would be designed on either a single hand operation or two, but the camera will be away from the click-wheel..

@gdog: You can upgrade every year with ATT if you sign a new contract, at least that has been my experience so far.
Its very possible Apple will make a china bound phone, but no one in the US will care. iPods, meh. New hardware revisions on the iPhone better be worth the wait. So many new phones coming this summer/fall.
Im tired of hearing speculation rumors about what apple is going to release everyone is getting hyped up and im going to laugh really hard when everything isnt as glamorous as everyone wants it to be.

All i care about is if the nanos are getting bigger storage.
I still don’t have an iPhone as it really hasn’t taken off that much here in Australia. I do want one and am waiting for the next generation to come out to see if it is worth it….all the gossip looks good but will wait and see what comes out, AND, when it is coming to the land down under.
I got an iPod touch a couple of days ago but I think I had better bought an iPhone
