Pantech Aladdin and LG Monaco to grace AT&T shelves
As you might have imagined, the unending leakfest continues today with information about two more handsets headed AT&T’s way. First up is the Pantech Aladdin, a QWERTY slider with HSDPA connectivity, 2.2-inch QVGA display, 1.3 megapixel camera, aGPS, Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR, microSD expansion, threaded SMS, and support for Napster, eMusic and other forms of Windows DRM. This entry-level handset will fall in line with the Pantech Matrix / Matrix Pro and is expected later this year. Also expected to drop at AT&T is the LG Monaco, a high-end Windows Mobile side slider. The Monaco will feature a 3.2-inch WVGA touchscreen display, 3.6Mbps HSDPA, 5 megapixel auto-focus camera, QWERTY keyboard, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, microSDHC support and a sweet-sounding Pico projector accessory. The Monaco will reportedly run Windows Mobile 7 which likely pushes the launch date of this phone well into 2010. Hit the jump for the associated slides.

if they have WIFI, then I might get them but lg, what about the Incite? any firmware update?
1st!
i’ll take the monaco, but you can keep the aladdin.
I think of all the at&t listings of leaked info on here the only stuff worthwhile is the blackberry lineup. All these quick messaging phones are making me sick. And I work for ‘em(at&t that is). So while they may be releasing all these new devices the biggest complaint I hear is that there aren’t anymore flip phones. Lol
what does “TA date” stand for?
TA date I believe is tech approval date. (The day they plan on getting the approval for a release)
TA stands for Targeted Availability.
They are both uggos……

Windows Mobile? ah god why
@ Tyron D: TA actually stands for Technical Acceptance. This the target date for testing to conclude on the device.
these phones are pretty hard on the eyes. I know AT&T could use a couple of these quick messaging devices but our lineup is definently saturated with them. AT&T definently has the most exclusive smartphone lineup now tho.
LG one is good pantech is ugly as hell! Im tired of these messaging phones, at&t needs to fix ones that they have out first before releasing more garbage,
Why does the Pantech have the dial format number pad superimposed on the QWERTY if it’s permanently 1″ higher and much larger and easier to use on the face of the phone? If it’s for typing numbers while using the QWERTY, shouldn’t it be across the top row like a real keyboard?
Lg looks like a winner with the wvga screen and pantech looks hideous
These are both very interesting phones and will likely have a big market for many people. I like windows mobile as the mobile OS and the device centric features such as expandable storage and the ability to create movies is a huge benefit to me.
What price do you think the LG MONACO is going 2 be.
My head is cradled in the palm of my hands. ,
