Leaked AT&T slide deck reveals Android, webOS, BlackBerry OS and Windows Mobile goodness
The boys over at Engadget Mobile managed to get their hands on what appears to be a slide deck showcasing just about every smartphone headed to AT&T this year. Some of the slides may be a bit off as far as launch dates are concerned but wow, what a lineup AT&T has in store for its customers. We have a few obligatory Windows Mobile devices — the HTC Fortress (Touch Pro2), HTC Warhawk (Touch Diamond2) and the HP iPAQ K3 which will run Windows Mobile 6.5. The expected BlackBerry offerings will include the Onyx, the Magnum, the Gemini and the non-flip Pearl 3G. AT&T is also expected to get the rumored Palm EOS in the latter half of the year and last but not least is the HTC Lancaster, an Android-powered QWERTY slider that steals its styling from the Touch Pro2 and makes the G1 look like a kid’s toy. @Christopher Cox – How the hell could Sprints phone offerings get any smaller? lol.
My biggest gripe about Sprint is sitting here watching all these new BB’s come out for AT&T and TMO. Ugh… it’s like starving and watching everyone around you get steak at their table, but your waiter is MIA.

My point. LOL Going WiMAX is a stupid move for Sprint because it will limit their device availability even more. Why would manufacturers spend a lot of money to develop and bring out new phones when Sprint is the only carrier using Wimax while everyone else is going LTE?
Sprints 4G Wimax is only a short term marketing gimmick that will put the nails in their coffins later down the road as LTE devices come out and they can’t get any phones.
I just find it funny that people here tout Sprint as having a 4G network before anyone else has when really this doesn’t mean much.

iPhone came out as an entertainment platform, but now a days it is much more than that. Look at all of the big name corporations developing enterprise apps for iPhone. Look at the moves for this device in the medical field. Ask anyone who works in medical and they will tell you that iPhone is a leading device in that sector. And as 3.0 comes out, there are numerous devices that are being developed for it utilizing the new connector support. Blood pressure cuffs, glucose readers. All of this support virtualized medicine where doctors can instantly send results and get supporting diagnosis from other doctors remotely.
Saying iPhone is strictly an entertainment device just shows a lack of research. In reality, iPhone is an awesome entertainment device as well as one that is being looked at as a leader in several vertical markets.
I’m a buyer for a department store so ya! Great for my doc not for me.

“Thanks to all who posted before and proved their own stupidity talking about how att is going to dominate with this lineup.”- hey umm, seeing how this is the best lineup of phones due in 2009, there is no competition. you will probably say:THE PRE IS THE COOLEST PHONE EVER, well thats 1, apple is releasing about 5-6 iphones this year. and with this extra backing the business world will have more than it needs to choose what phone they like and features
