Softbank announces 10 megapixel Sharp AQUOS SHOT 933SH
8 megapixels? Puh-leeze. While companies like Samsung, Sony Ericsson, LG and Nokia continue work on 8 megapixel camera phones, Sharp is kicking things up a notch in the Asian region. Definitely falling into the “phone-camera” category, the AQUOS SHOT 933SH will debut on Japan’s Softbank Mobile at the end of this month with a release in US to follow… Never. While we won’t be seeing the handset on this side of the globe any time soon, we can still drool over the 10 megapixel shooter sitting behind a flip-and-swivel 3.3-inch WVGA touchscreen display. In any event, the camera phone bar has been raised and until Sony Ericsson’s Idou materializes and wows us all, Sharp’s 933SH could be the camera to beat.

Very nice I still think America is very behind in cellphone technology.

Suprised you didn’t post the ISO setting, or as high as it can go. It can go up to 12800.

sh-06a looks better and probably will be the one more will get…933sh will probably have signal issues and major pain to hypersim compared to the previous models, will wait for the sh-06a instead.
This isn’t a smartphone is it?Now if it was running winmo 6.5 with 10 megapixel cam I may be interested.
ccd = very impressive but that looks like an LED flash which means this phone is a total failure.
damm japan cellphone market is crazy i wish i live there the u.s is really years behind
That sensor looks tiny, and that will limit the image quality. I’d get an older 3.2 Mpixel camera over this, just due to that factor.
actually, the sensor on the sh-06a is slightly larger than the old 903sh 3.2mp sensor which was at 1/2.5″ and its still larger than the other camera phones out. I cant remember the size of the current new sharp ccd
I disagree, I had a k790a with a xenon, and sold it b/c the outdoor quality and non flash indoor quality was vastly inferior to my non xenon 903sh, while yes a xenon is nice in close ups at night, it was still a turd camera wise compared to my LED 903sh
WIth older 3.2 Mpixel, I meant a regular 3.2 Mpixel camera, like they budgety and old Canon Powershot A510 We have at home.
