HTC Touch Pro 2 debuts on Vodafone UK – coming soon

HTC’s flagship Windows Mobile Professional device, the Touch Pro 2, has made its debut on Vodafone’s UK website. And yes, Voda has gone ahead and named the handset Touch “Pro 2″ while HTC refers to it as the Touch “Pro2″. Listed in the business section, the qwerty keyboard packing Touch Pro 2 is displayed only as coming soon. No pricing details have been revealed yet but, as is the case with most European phones, expect it to be heavily subsidized when higher tariffs are chosen.

    How sick is this phone? I wish HTC would just make their own OS though, instead of sticking with WinMo. Although I don’t mind it because touchflo rocks.

    When is this coming to Verizon where it can be fused with VZNavigator, VCast and the many other crippling options that verizon has to offer?

    @tblack

    It should come to Sprint’s network. Sprint was the first to get the original Touch Pro, so I’m thinking and hoping they will get this sexy piece of heaven.

    Anyone know when this is coming to Sprint? According to the leaked roadmap, it should be in Q3 2009, but I was wondering if anyone had a more definite date

    Hate to even reply to that glansburg puke he spews out from time to time. But one point I have to make. Vcast is a superb video service that’s unparaleld. The crisp vibrant HD-like video is unmatched. I know its limited and its just clips for now, till mobile tv is availeble in all markets, but for now I’ll take that over ATT’s (and certainly sprints) BUffering video service.
    Its the network stupid.

    I disagree. There is a lot of good phones besides the BlackBerry. Rim has a lot to work on in terms of Mulkti media, streaming video. The voyager, and the krave Zn4 are prime examples of great streaming phones. Still wish that the ZN4’s succeddor model the inferno will be released. As of now, its wishfull thinking . Its been canned.

    This phone would be perfect if it didnt had windos mobile and it needs a 3.5 mm jack

    HD-like video might be a little bit too much praise. Just because its clear, doesn’t mean its HD.

    And seriously people, stop saying phones would be perfect if they didn’t have windows mobile. They do have winmo, so its not perfect for you. We get it.

    I was just looking at the leaked Sprint roadmap and saw that it had the Touch Pro2 coming in the 3rd qtr, but when I went to the individual picture it said launch date was qtr 4. What’s up with that?

    Well after talking to a source from Sprint, and knowing someone that works for RIM, my choice will be between the Touch Pro 2 and the Blackberry Thunder for Sprint.

    Hey… Well too bad VZW or Sprint won’t be getting this anytime soon because T-Mobile USA should be launching this sucker by end of summer. Hopefullt by back to school time. I’ve already played with the T-Mobile Version Touch Pro 2, it is Fast!!! Better then any other Windows Mobile phone I’ve ever used. Can’t wait to buy this beauty and use it on T-Mobile’s 3G network!
