Only 128mb of RAM will be a major limitation once this phone gets rooted.
Already the vodaphone versions of the G2/Magic have trouble running the full Sense UI, and that’s with 192mb of RAM. Mind you, further optimizations might help once Hero actually gets released.

Us lucky Rogers users get 288mb to play with (not sure about the T-mobil version). 8GB of storage is a non-factor since SD cards are so cheap.

I was initially excited about this phone, but now I’d probably stick to my magic, or get a Hero.

Are you only gonna be able to get Android phones on T-mobile here in the States? Pretty disappointed in all the carriers not picking some up or just getting us some non-Tmobile hardware.

Hopefully, this will light a fire under Motorola, Sony Ericsson, etc. to get their Android devices to market more quickly. Each vendor is likely to have a slightly different take on Android and it would be nice, as a consumer, to be able to compare all of the products, before making a decision.

i saw this on youtube like almost everyone else and i don’t feel too happy with it. the phone didn’t look responsive and it had this annoying thing that when you flipped it to landscape mode the picture would get small and then enlarge. i hope they fix this phone up before they sell it.

This phone is aight, but looks like one of TMobiles many other old out dated Samsungs that slide up, just oversized.
