Palm’s Pre unboxed on video
It’s fascinating how many people lust after gadget unboxings and Monday was no exception with some people going absolutely crazy over some not so great pics of the Palm Pre’s box. Well today a video unboxing of the Pre surfaced which is sure to make more than a few people wet their pants (or worse) from excitement. It’s not exactly what we pictured the first video unboxing would look like as it’s being done by a Palm rep at CES 2009 way back on January 13th (strange how it stayed under the radar until now, isn’t it?), but we’ll take what we can get and dish it out for all of the Pre-crazed nouveau Palm addicts out there. Informed, good link choice. That ought to shut people up about size. Its smaller than everything INCLUDING the centro, and the centro is SMALL. Nice!
Why does it matter if its released at/around the iPhones release? DIFFERENT CARRIERS. Non-competitive. And they’ll get first chance at rounding up all the free-agent customers that are out of the contract. Its SMART timing.
Wow a lot of people make judgement of these lame videos and photos. Just wait til it comes out and check for your self. Oh and @ Lenny I’m in NY and where does Sprint Service suck…just wondering.

I NEVER EVER recommend nor bother to sell ANY PALM phones.
Why… horrible reception, horrible product quality, although a stable OS its incredibly slow.
Scratch 1… i have sold the Palm phones before but ONLY to Doctors & Realtors, cause Medical Programs have been avaiable on Palm for some time and Realtors love the inferred beam to open lock boxes. Otherwise paper weight
Actually compare to the iPhone and G1 the Pre is smaller. Oh and G1 is the ugliest of the three!
Holy crap that thing is big and THICK! It looks as big as an iphone sitting on top of a storm! No Thanks!
does Sprint really think that BB and iPhone users are going to migrate to them because of this phone? i say its awesome for Sprint customers though…

First off. I held one in my hands today. It’s not thick at all It’s smaller than the iPhone (I put them side by side) and about the same thickness
The phone as a whole felt very cheap. A plastic cheap feel in my hand. The iPhone feels very solid in your hand. This does not. The keypad is rubber like the centro.
I didn’t power it up because I was told that I was not aloud too. Oh well but I at least got to hold it in my hand and see what it felt like.
Untill I get to mess around with one once powered up. I will stick with my iPhone

Have you tried the Palm Pro… It lasts me all day literally i wont lie. i Should know ;0]. Don’t forget that Palm has put in charge some of the crew who helped create the iPhone. =0]
