Palm’s Pre unboxed on video
It’s fascinating how many people lust after gadget unboxings and Monday was no exception with some people going absolutely crazy over some not so great pics of the Palm Pre’s box. Well today a video unboxing of the Pre surfaced which is sure to make more than a few people wet their pants (or worse) from excitement. It’s not exactly what we pictured the first video unboxing would look like as it’s being done by a Palm rep at CES 2009 way back on January 13th (strange how it stayed under the radar until now, isn’t it?), but we’ll take what we can get and dish it out for all of the Pre-crazed nouveau Palm addicts out there. if the palm pre keyboard anything like the treo pro keyboard i might not be picking it up, it hits Bell 2H, and Tour should be hitting Canada soon, got to have the Tour! cool video the box is quiet unique

The unlock feature looks to easy for someoneelse to get in to your phone.

I would never buy another Palm phone. It is an albatross. No support. I have been through FOUR batteries and three replacement phones. All of the accessories are proprietary. NEVER AGAIN.

ive said and ive seen it said: sprint and palm are stupid (lack of a better word) to release this phone anytime time around the new iphone-this device might do aight in the long run just because all other sprint phone are teribble!!!!
How small are that persons hands????? I’ve seen other videos of the phone being handled and it never looked that big before!
I first thought it had somekind of orange “backlight” when the woman held the Pre in her hands and at the end where the Pre was laying on the table. Focus-assist lamp from a digital camera?
The phone looks so thick and the keyboard looks like it would be hard to use because of so much weight above it from the screen being slid up. I’m glad I did not wait for this. I absolutely love my G1.
Maybe I’m just easily annoyed, but how is this an unboxing when i get to see nothing in the box?
The point of an unboxing is seeing all the goodies the phone comes with.

the pre looked so big cause that lady’s hands are small. i’ve seen so many vid’s were the device looked big and turned out to be way smaller.

I dont buy the small hands theory. Look at every other phone Palm has had(except for the centro maybe), they are thick phones. Sprint and Palm screwed this one up. They should have released this a lot earlier while the hype was still very high.

I think the hype was high when there was a shroud of mystery about the phone and the Palm execs were beating the “better than iPhone” drums. Now that we know its limitations, and the fact they waited so long, the excitement and momentum is dying out already. Your right, they should have released it when the momentum was there. This now has the feel of “just another good smartphone” not what the execs were touting before.
This does seem like an interesting device though, it just won’t be a game changing phone. I just hope it delivers so this can be Sprints first good phone. Their best and most advertised phone right now is the Instinct, and we all know that did not do as well.
Don’t knock it til you try it. – It’s a pretty nice phone. One of, if not THE, nicest I’ve ever messed with. Yea, it’s big but not THAT big, it’s not quite as big as a treo pro which isn’t that big in and of itself. Just wait another month or so folks. Pre Day D-Day is coming.
Unfortunately, Sprint/Nextel service is horrible in New York. AT least it was for me, and quiet few people I know. So it would not meter what kind soap dish they can bring to the market. Everyone was jumping about G1 phone, and it is still sucks. Next tell in line….

You guys/gals, obviously the woman has small hands, look at the other videos of the Pre floating around the Net. On a side note, I remember seeing this porn actress on a talk show, she said the Adult industry purposely chooses tiny woman to give the allusion the guys are big. Get it?
