Pre-order a Nokia N97 for $454.35 with free Bluetooth headset
It seems that Nokia USA knew a lot of people weren’t too pleased with the crazy $700 pre-order price on the N97, but a new promotional price has us wondering if initial interest in the handset is a bit lacking. Entering in the promotional code CARTP409N will not only allow Americans to pre-order the flagship slider for $454.35, but Nokia will throw in a BH-703 Bluetooth headset as well. The strangest thing? Earlier today, a different promotional code had the N97 and BH-703 going for $524.25. If you’re even remotely interested in an N97 or want to push your luck with a quick resale, head the read link and order an N97 now. Then again, it might be even cheaper tomorrow…
UPDATE: It looks like this steep discount may have been an error — congrats if you managed to get it and Nokia honors it. The coupon code now eliminates the free headset and provides a slim 10 percent discount bringing the price of the phone alone to $629.10. Pass.

Ill wait till it becomes available on Craigslist
I preordered a few days ago and paid a whopping $729! They also charged me! I didn’t think you got charged till it shipped. Does that mean I have on on the way?
Quit wasting our time with these ridiculous GSM devices. I’m not Eurotrash and I refuse to sign my name in blood on an AT&T (aka Evil Empire) contract. Until Nokia gets their colective crap together and builds a desirable CDMA phone, I’m out.
no thanks
it won’t work with T-Mobile at all
It looks like to me that this code reduces the cost to $629. How did you get the $454 price?
Don’t let the LTE door hit your EVDO ass on your way out.
Perhaps you are confused. VZW (a CDMA carrier) plans to commercially deploy in 2010. 3GPP Release 8 yet to be ratified, so who know when the Euro’s will have a similar standard.
Nonetheless, enjoy your overpriced Nokia slider and your spotty AT&T 3G. I’ll take a Palm Pre on my Sprint contract, thank you very much.
I saw the tweet and ran to my computer to order it.. But alas..
Oh and CDMA Fanboy Alert. I love how he called Nokia Eurotrash, lol. Big Red = ROGERS
The device took so long to get out to the US that is basically obsolete before it even ships and it has a wimp-shit processor to boot. I was going to buy this phone and would have even paid $500 for it, but, now… forget it. See you in bankruptcy court.
Nokia should looks at the competition in the US before starting selling a device at $699. $485 would have been a great deal for the US S60/Nokia fans and for the new adopters. At that price I would have ordered one immediately. But I really don’t think this phone is worth more than that. Remember you have the PRE coming out really soon and the new iPhone too. It looks like Nokia forgot the principle of offer vs. demand here in the US. To increase your brand presence you should offer more affordable products….
Ummmm 1st of all when I tried (for shits and giggles) it gave me $70 off, waaaayyyyyyy different than the $244 mentioned.
2nd of all… this phone will turn out to be a piece of shite! People… its running a sub par processor and its off to a really slow start… plus .. OVI?? Really???
Well, i pre-ordered min at around 730am today and got the 244$ discount so i went ahead and ordered two instead….
@mingkee: Sure it will.
@kwamiga
the black one ?
I will buy your second for sure if you want to sell it !
I’ll wait for eseries or the i8910
Nope still shows 699.99? Is there a promotion code that should be entered…
CDMA = LMFAO…
Shitty CPU? What the F are you talking about?
Directly from the nokia website:
CPU Count Single CPU
CPU Type ARM 11
CPU Clock Rate 434 MHz
My iPhone is running at 412MHZ and also has 128MB of RAM yet it is running beautifully… I’m waiting for the refreshed iPhone a WWDC, if they haven’t changed much, I will definitely go for the N97.
GSM = EPIC FAIL

This promotional discount was a mistake that Nokia people made on their N97 preorder website. I chatted with the sale rep, and he told me that it was a mistake, and they’ve corrected it. NO MORE DISCOUNT when I try to order it. Suck!!!!!
LTE is a progression of GSM’s UMTS platform…no shit sherlock that Verizon is moving to LTE…but the question is why move to LTE, when it’s predecessor is that ridiculous Euro Trash standard of GSM.
I also read that they would not charge your credit card till they sent it to you. Look on the Nokia web site. I tryed to get that $174.75 discount but was unsuccessful.
hey ev-d’oh, gsm runs the world. Only in the us theres this shite called cdma with sprint and verizon. Gsm = freedom and like the other guy said, dont let the door hit your evdo ass out
Did you buy one for me too? Ahh, thanks buddy.
Fine, more for us, we europeans always get the better phones anyway, it’d be a shame to change that
jetatx get your facts straight. More than 4.6M CDMA subscribers worldwide, including Europe, N. America, Latin America, and Asia. Additionally, the N. American CDMA network, (Sprint and Verizon)is more mature, more stable, and has far superior broadband service than GSM. Numerous iPhone 3G owners will vouch for this.
So, jetatx, feel free to stick your SIM card where the sun don’t shine.
