The $18 Plus version is the charged-for upgrade in 3.0 – there’s a free version of 3.0.

I’m still holding onto 2.1 for now as the 3.0 free version doesn’t have email capabilities anymore. I’ll look at the upgrade when 3.1 comes out – gotta consider paying for good stuff.

everyone should really get and keep Vlingo 2.1. the new version restricts features that were free in the previous version. compare for yourself. its retarded that they would do this but whatev$.
logic conquers all!

Your post said it all. From a consumer point of view WES is a complete failure. Considering that WES stands for Wireless *Enterprise* Symposium, this is entirely expected. WES isn’t a consumer show, and doesn’t want to be a consumer show.

Yes, you can say that. But we all have to remember that BlackBerry was originally a “enterprise” thing. But to devote an whole 3 day show for enetrprise-only is over the top, in 2009 when your goal is to make headways into the consumer market. Ok, agreed, Failure.

White pages charging? Right. With all the other and superior apps that are out there for free, that will be a fail.
