AT&T picks up Acer Aspire One 10.1″ netbook; available from Costco on May 11th

There were rumors going around not long ago about more subsidized netbooks making their way over to AT&T. Well, it looks like AT&T is about to start offering the Acer Aspire One 10.1″ netbook complete with integrated AT&T 3G access via a partnership with Costco. Costco employees are currently being trained for the launch and according to the info we received, the preparation comes to a head on May 8th. As for the netbook itself, it will become availble beginning May 11th. We’re pretty sure the Acers will be available from both AT&T retail stores and Costco electronics kiosks, just like Radio Shack’s current AT&T netbook. No word yet on pricing but look for it to line up just above the 8.9″ model currently available from Radio Shack.

Bah humbug!
What are the specs? BGR?
The Apple netbook must be going to Verizon… this is proof
Costco is working on gettting Apple computers in their store. Costco rocks. 90 day returns on electronics and 2 year concierge service…sweet
So at 60/mo for 2 years it’ll cost you 1200 for a netbook worth 4-500 retail?
@david amodt: Not even. That thing retails for $350 at BJ’s…
Here’s more info on the many netbooks and full size laptops coming soon through AT&T.

Your *ing post are so *ing lame ! Why post such drival ?
Not my comment was meant for David !
Huh?
JakeyBoy says Costco is working on getting Apple computers in their stores. It would seem possible it could finally happen now that Macs have been selling at a much slower pace. Maybe Costco has the leverage to squeeze a decent price out of them?
On the other hand, I have been hearing this rumor for 10 years!
its not just about the product thats worth 350 -400…. your also buying the wireless service… its either that or you buy one of the wireless cards which will do the same thing and still pay the same amount.. your choice
No, you pay $1200 for the wireless service. Did you not read the article?
What he means is, rather than paying $1200 for the wireless service alone, you’re paying the same for the service and getting a discount on the equipment. SO, if you want WIRELESS BROADBAND, and an ACER netbook, this offer will save you some money. Not so hard to understand. So, ACER($349-$400) + price of aircard + price of wireless service ($960-$1200) > Discounted Acer ($179) + built in aircard + wireless service.
If you dont want the wireless service, dont buy this model.
Who paid $350 for an aspire one? I got mine for $298 at walmart when the 10″ first came out!
