Gameloft releases Terminator Salvation for iPhone trailer
Screenshots of Gameloft’s upcoming Terminator Salvation title for the iPhone first slipped out about a month ago and since then, some early coverage from testers has whet our appetite for the upcoming shooter. By all accounts, Terminator Salvation is shaping up to be one of the most impressive examples of gaming goodness to hit the iPhone yet. Now, thanks to the newly available game trailer, we can all have a taste of what to expect when Salvation finally does drop. Jibing with reports from early testers, the game looks smooth, complex and most definitely action-packed. Gameloft definitely looks to be upping the ante with this one. By the way, Gameloft, toss in an easter egg involving a screaming Christian Bale and a stunned director of photography and we’ll by 20 copies. Each. Hit the jump for the trailer.

Whoa, that looks really good.
I have a G1, and the best game on there is about a jumping cow trying to save it’s animal friends…it’s a great game but still. :\
Yeah, good thing about iPhone is its the best mobile platform for games at the moment with big game developers treating it more like a portable gaming console than a phone. EA is releasing several titles too.
It seems the iPhone is Apple’s only and most popular and best suit OSX gaming platform.
Though I’m not really interested in the iPhone, Kudos to Apple for what they have accomplished with it.
However, all of these apps must certainly drain and toil its non-removable battery, so what are iPhone owners going to do once their batteries are completely depleted and unusable?
whoa… I never been more happy to own a iPhone then right now at this moment… tear
It will probably be for the next generation iPhone
@Palfrei Buy a new iPhone/Touch.
Well the life of the battery should exceed beyond the life of my two year contract to get the newer iPhone. If not, a new batter only cost $150 and you would only have to do that every few years if you are going to keep it. Its not that big of a deal for a device that is more like a mobile computer than any other device out there. Beyond entertainment apps, the productivity apps for iPhone have more of a full featured software feeling other than gimped mobile versions you find on other platforms like blackberry or windows mobile. They just feel next generation. I can’t go back to winmo apps, much like I can’t go back to windows 3.11 after using XP.
typo! 3rd to last sentence……
I have been converted to the iphone (coming from Windows Mobile and Symbian) and am really impressed with it. The games I have bought so far are great
Assassins Creed
Tiger Woods PGA Tour
Real Football 09
Whos go the biggest brain – with facebook connect
Scrabble
Frenzic
iDracula
the list of really polished titles goes on, and I think things are just going to get better.
@Steven,
What makes you say that it will probably be for the next generation iPhone? those graphics are actually typical of iPhone games. You obviously have not seen Brothers In Arms, or Heroes of Sparta. All run on current iPhones and both have graphics similar to this one. iPhone (current generation) is the most powerful gaming platform. I realize some WinMo phones have similar specs, but the software is not optimized and makes the games run like crap. What do you expect though? Its slow performing software on similar hardware written by Microsoft. Typical.
There’s a new App for the I phone called “live your life”
Its amazing it forces you to get a job, pay bills and be a productive member of society!
Whoa! Can you imagine that?
@DavidThande,
So are you saying that responsible people don’t play games? Because I am a single father with two boys and a career. I have my kids full time, yet LOVE to play games like this during my downtime by myself or in turn with my boys.
Or … Was your comment a show of jealousy that your phone isn’t capable of such things or that developers flock the iPhone in droves to release their software?
Its Called “Live Your Life”
I won’t buy an iPhone but I do own a pair both the iTouch 1G and 2G and I use them specifically for gaming, movies and my music/podcasts. I’m not a big gamer but I own about 30 games already and I will definitely get this one.
Thanks for the useful info. It’s so interesting
