Motorola Clutch i465 for Boost Mobile gets official
It won’t be winning any beauty pageants any time soon but Boost Mobile users waiting for a relatively rugged QWERTY handset will soon have a new option in the Motorola Clutch i465. Sprint and Boost obviously recognize that messaging is a bit of a hot topic these days and as such, we can expect the carrier to start rolling out a few QWERTY handsets to ensure its text-hungry customers are covered. First up, for better or worse, is the Clutch. It’s styling is certainly polarizing but love it or hate it, Moto managed to pack in a fairly decent feature set (relatively speaking). Highlights include Push to Talk of course, threaded SMS and MMS, POP3 email support, Bluetooth and a VGA camera. No, it’s not going to knock your socks off but relative to the rest of Boost’s lineup, this new Moto is an ok option if it’s released at a decent price point. The Clutch i465 will be available in Q2 of this year.
I really like the phone as it is a low cost phone. Nothing like the I phone or the Blackberry. But for the price what more do you want. Just think 50.00 bucks unlimited svc. no contract. it’s a no brainer How many ppl have other svc and they have to pay xtra for internet and overage with txt and min.
As “II” have said.–> METRO PCS SUCKS A**.! but this phone says it costs $129.99 that’s not true. it will cost atleast $140.00. because of the tax.
Well actually I got mine off ebay and only paid $114 including shipping and it still came with a $5 activation card. Just look around and you will find them cheap.
To get on facebook, go to 11. Surf the web, then 9.enter site, then in the space under “go to site” type “m.facebook.com” select “done” then “ok” and u will be taken to facebook. Also before u go on the internet go to “settings” then “advanced” then “baud rate” and change the setting to 230400. This really speeds up the internet on the phone.
Put Opera mini on it ands its a completely different product. This link will take you to instructions. One additional note, name all three files the same, the jar the jad and the zip, that will fix the errors people are reporting.

Shame on motorola and boost for hamstringing this phone with a garbage web browser, and shame on them for making it so difficult to install java apps.
Trust me when I tell you opera mini on this phone is amazing. It’s not even the same thing anymore.

Chris, I’ve had this phone for 2 weeks now and assumed syncing with Google be easy. Not so. I can’t seem to get my contacts or calendar to sync with this phone
that phone is a piece of shit….don’t get it n that dame phone cost 200 inclu. taxes…it don’t work rite and the internet u cant do shit…but the black on black in nice..
I have had the boost “unlimited” plan $50 for 2 months now…. IT IS GREAT!!!! NO HIDDEN FEES…just whatever your tax is in your state when you boost it every month. Here, it is 6.2% so i end up paying $53 and some change…. still better than any other plans out there…. As for the i465, I HATED the phone at first…. the browser SUCKS… but then I read some reviews and suggestions…… BEST THING I EVERRRRRRRR DID was get OPERA MINI … the browser is the balls….. I can actually get on sites that I wasn’t able to before!!! Also, DON’T pay for boost’s GPS… You can get a free GPS from LifeinPocket….. DEFINATELY betters the phone, and Operamini is the NUTS for a browser….. GET THEM…. You WONT be sorry!!!!
HI BOOST THE I465 SUCKS BIG TIME
I actually bought the phone two days ago and I like it so far. I bought it for 105$ brand new from the box, and received a free car charger with it. which is a 25$ expense so you can say that the phone was only 80$. I also got 5$ free so I paid 45$ for my first plan. The service is so much better than Cricket. The network is excellent and I can take it with me anywhere i go pretty much…nationwide. Cricket for instance is only in select states, and their customer service sucks *ss. Boost mobile operate on the sprint network and have excellent coverage and excellent customer service. you would have to give an arm and a half to talk to a rep on cricket. Also, cricket have the 40$ plan which some how jumps to 49$ when it comes down to actually paying the bill. boost mobile plan comes up to 53-54$ with the tax. But everything else makes up for it. Even at cricket you would never find affordable quality phones as you do from boost mobile. Cricket make their own phones and motorolla is a well known company that puts all crickets phones to shame…the i465 is excellent for the price. I wish if it had a better quality camera and maybe if it was touch screen. Navigating through the internet sucks when it comes to JAva app. website’s. I tried to download the operamini directly from the phone by sending the text message/link to it, but that didnt work. I keep receiving an error message. The phone looks very similar to a black berry which is nice…quality wise the blackberrry is so much better ofcourse. Chirp Chirp is the best thing ever!!
I love it. I have fun with it all the time. The phone in general though is somewhat complicated. It takes time to really get used to it and understand how it really works. They could have done a better job at making it less complicated and simple like the Icons on the I phones for instance.

The ringtones go off when something touches the side of the phone. It drove me crazy until I used the key locks. But that is a pain too, because every time you want to use the keys it has to be unlocked. I even bought a case, but the buttons were still exposed on the side…and it still went off. Key locks.
I just bought this phone using the Boost Mobile.. This phone states it does support pop3 email and java. Can anyone explain to me how to set up the email?? Do I need to download or set up the Java App? Please help if you can.. Over all the price of the phone and no contracts It beats the heck out of cricket where there is NO custormer Service!
I have this phone with Boos Mobile and it gets on my f**** nerves!!! I can’t get my Facebook Notifications. Te service with Boost Mobile is terrible for me!!! I don’t get good service. My text nessages don’t go through very much. They download forever and most times they won’t stop downloading. I never get the text. I can hardly get my media messages. I called them at least 6 times within the month and they have master reset the phone, refreshed the phone and a lot of other BS!!!! Still the same @@@@. I’m beginning to think they are worse that the other sh^^^ service I had before. A rep was assisting me and the phone hung up. She had the phone# to my home and did not call me back. I’ve been transferred everywhere. Then offered a measly $5.00 off of my phone bill!!!! What type of customer service is this???? Are you kidding me???!!! I’ve been told that the problem may be because I’m in Tennessee!!! WTF???!!! If your service is a piece of S*** in Tennessee why in the hell are you offering service here?? The whole thing is DUMB!!!
