Speaking of quality issues, why is it that At&t always gets the low budget Walkman handsets? What happened to the days of the SE high camera devices were being rolled out on Cingular. And the SE smartphone was on AT&T. Is the new At&t that shallow, when it comes to releasing a quality high end handset.

Outside of the iPhone and the Bold, what others have they released. Those HTC misfit handsets don’t count. I mean a Nokia, SE, and/or Moto high-end handset. Like the N series Nokia, E series Nokia, W900 series SE, C900 series SE, and/or the Z series Moto. C’mon At&t razzle dazzle us with some good old GSM hardware like only a big GSM carrier can deliver. Eat your hearts out Sprint, Verizon, and other CDMA fanfare.

I for one am something of an se fanboy and will definitely be rocking this when it drops. I’ve had every se phone for att and cingular all the way back to the t series and despite some software issues sony phones have tons of features and amazing audio quality. They tether for free and are fantastic mp3 players and the cameras are great too. This phone looks much better than the 506 on t-mobile the att equivalent z780 i believe will never see the light of day. The faceplates will be great too

What the hell are you talking about? LTE is still at least 18-24 months from going national at LEAST. As for phones, it will be just like GSM and CDMA in 3G flavors..ie, frequencies that are not standard with the world so we get crappy phones sooner then good phones..let’s also mention that the good phones that do come out will be to the highest bidder on LTE in the USA, not simultaneous. Like GSM in Europe LTE will be in the USA not all carriers will get the same phone at same time.

None of this has to do with this article, simply stating the point to the person above.

what happenes when verizon will go LTE, can we expect every new phone to go to multiple carriers at a time?
cnventinal wisdom says the reason its going to ATT is because its GSM, and since LTE is GSM based, will it happen?
