I was under the impression that Sprint had until 2010 to meet certain Federal guidelines for the use of that band, and were either unwilling or unable to do so. @tblack

As for Motorola, clearly the company is doing well enough on the whole, but it's their mobile devision that's killing them. I don't know if they're going to have a viable Android phone out in time to even matter.
