Motorola’s “IRONMAN” Android handset says hello

Wait, what? Motorola possibly doing a cross-marketing campaign with a blockbuster movie? We kid, we kid, but hey, we wouldn’t put it past them… We just got hit with some really interesting information — it’s about this Motorola smartphone either called or code-named “IRONMAN”. We’ve been told it will most likely run Android and be out by the end of Q3. While we don’t have exact specs, word is it’s going to sport a screamin’ CPU and have pretty much every feature under the sun — Wi-Fi, 3G, high resolution camera, etc. We’d also assume most of the controls on the front are touch sensitive as there do not seem to be any buttons in the photo. Thoughts?
Thanks, Daddy G.!

Wow! What has gotten into motorola? I’d give this puppy a serious look as my next phone will be android powered and my contract with att expires in August.
IRONMAN’s screenshot shows something that at least looks a lot like Windows Mobile 6.x. Is this a WinMo handset turned Android?
That looks suspiciously like a WinMo 7 screenshot.
Uhm, the screenshot is of a Windows Mobile 6.5 mockup by what I believe was an xda-dev guy and not Microsoft.
Nice lookin phone though. I’d consider it.
Is it for T-Mobile?
I think you need to review your grammar rules. “Do” is a plural pronoun- “does” is singular, and since the question is construes as singular, “does” is correct. Dumbass
Hmmmm. It looks as if the post I was replying to has been removed.
Looks like a lot of front real estate, but tiny screen?? Why they don’t make a screen cover the whole front surface is beyond me.
@ White Gryphon:
While I think it is great that some people are still concerned about using proper grammar, I find it appalling that you have the nerve to chastise someone, when you refer to “do” and “does” as prnouns, when in fact, they are not.
Perhaps you should review your grammar before correcting someone else.
@ MichaelBrandonW:
I might being seeing it differently somehow, but to me, it looks like the phone is a slider and so once closed, the screen does cover the front surface. But again, it might just be the way I am seeing it.
looks more like a copy off of the Moto Alexandra more then anything. Not bad looking tho just to bad it looks to be for the crappy GSM networks tho.
@AgBand: I think he means other then the space taken up by the keyboard.
There is an awful lot of ‘blank’ under the screen from what I see too.
I do think its possible that those are areas for soft keys that you’ll only see when needed.
It also looks like this picture wasn’t rendered correctly. Look at the Moto symbol. Looks more like an oval then a circle to me. It almost looks like the whole thing got squashed.
WOW! I would def consider this for my next phone. Current Windows “Smartphones” work ok for a week and like any other Windows OS, slow down to death. How many time can one reset a phone and deal with wiped out contact list? Motorola finally turning around to recapture its #1 spot? About time!!!
That looks zexy!
@AgBand: You sir, are correct. “Do” and “Does” are ancillary verbs. I did not fully proof my post before hand after making changes to my original comment.
And to clarify the context of my original comment, it was directed at a post (that has since been removed) that made a remark about the editor’s lack of familiarity with the English language, and that wrongly stated that the word “do”, instead of “does”, should have been used in the last sentence.
Verizon pleese
Posted from BGR Mobile (iPhone).
@ White Gryphon: Understood. Makes perfect sense. I would have done the same thing then
@AgBand and WhiteGryphon
You are both major douchebags.

One ugly phone, android or not.
a) your ninja got you a really really old (circa 2008) photo.
b) the newer photos i saw had a phone with send/end buttons etc.
c) the phone would have been winmo 6.x.
d) it is cancelled (in case you didnt know, the moto ceo had said earlier that he doesnt like any winmo6.x and moto is waiting for winmo 7).
duh. your ninjas suck.
Anybody wanna bring an AT&T band Android phone to market? Come on I dare you!
oh moto, you’re gonna have to do far better than that in the looks dept.
