HTC Magic now available from Vodafone Spain

Eight days ahead of its expected launch in the UK, Vodafone’s HTC Magic page has suddenly gone live in Spain and ordering of the latest android handset has commenced. The Spanish Magic will come with a slightly higher price tag than its UK counterpart, ranging from 199€ ($261USD) with a 21€ ($28USD) monthly plan down to 19€ ($25) with a 62€ ($81) monthly plan. Being able to flaunt the latest and greatest Android handset earlier than anyone else comes with a cost, no?

I’d like to take this moment to congratulate T-mobile U.S. for keeping the 3G bands out of most people’s hands.

Dont blame t-mobile when your bloody government is too blame. The only available umts spectrum to was 1700/2100mhz they the only carrier in the world which uses it ! So phone manufacturers cant benefit from economies of scale.

It looks like the old Touch with some new options. I’d buy it. So much better looking that the original android phone HTC came out with earlier.

Still not as sleek as a touch screen phone should be but it looks good enough to buy.

It is the G2. Or at least thats what it will be called on T-mobile USA (probably anyways).

I imagine it will be out here sooner rather then later.

The reason that HTC isn’t putting stateside 3G bands in the European phones is their deals with the US carriers. I cannot think of another reason.

If I lived in Europe and traveled to the US for business, I’d never buy an HTC phone.

Rumor has it that Sammy is going to give HTC some competition. Bout time.
