533 mhz processor is a joke. We already talking 624. Its 2009 for @*q@ out loud!
Where’s the Acer girl? Bummer…
Yawn… Wake me when they’re announced for the USA market.
Borring.
Is that Obama?
What I dont understand is, America is the largest nation of consumers. We have some of the best highway, telecommunication, gas, water, etc etc infrastructure in the world yet we aren’t using it to further our way of life. I know its a phone, but they are no longer phones anymore.
Cell phones have evolved (in my opinion) into personal communication devices, for not only speech, but text, IM, e-mail, internet, gps, satellite radio, FLOtv. So I guess it just angers me that we live in the best country on earth and the least pur country can do is UPGRADE “the lines” put some new cell towers and invest in about 2 or 3 more satellites for our use only.
Again, sory to re-iterate but the Indians, Chinese, and the European Union, all have some of the most cutting edge wireless technology available to them and the cost is nothing more or less than it is here in the states.
All I’m saying is that WE – AMERICA must hurry up and catch up because if we fall behind on such a simplistic technology such as a cell phone, the more prone we are to cyber and telecommunication attacks, which I read an article about the other day.
Just something to think about.
PS Not to mention the Japanese and the European cell phones look bad ass, but…… by the time we get them here the looks have been tweaked with and some of their most awesome features have been taken away. But than again this is America, and uncle sam is sitting there in a bath with his harem of woman AND men laughing at us.
Ok thats enough of my just woke up to pee and now I’m really pissed off midnight rant.
… Maybe one of these new products will be successful..
Notice all the form factors are iClones lol
Yeah those and every other smart phone released in the last 12 months…
They just don’t get it, it’s not about the phone, it’s about the idea.
If Acer can do it, so can Dell without a purchase of another company like Palm.

Which UMTS frequencies exactly does the X960 utilise ?
All the other models list this, but not the X960.
I ask this specific question because various retailers are “quoting” different, and exclusive, frequencies.
Why would we spend $800 without knowing the answer to this ?
@Richie > The reason why USA has such a bad wireless service is cos you guys was FIRST with it and invested heavy in tech at the start of the boom back in the early 80’s while the rest of world sat back and waited for the tech to mature and then got GSM.So instead of jumping onto GSM like rest of the world you guys had to use what you blew so much money on, so stop whining and bitching that usa is behind.
@Tech_Terry > WRONG! Acer brought the german Siemens’s phone dept a while back. They also brought E-Ten who was a company that specialized in Windows Mobile phones for a few years. Do your research before you blab next time ok? Frankly I’m not impressed with these phones as they have 2 big phone makers at their disposal and only came out with these things.
BTW, I used to work for Acer and am not very impressed with their lower standard of quality builds. Whats worst is that they brought E-Ten who are known to make very bad quality windows mobile phones (just google E-ten reviews).
