Oh hai, Facebook 1.5 for BlackBerry
We gave you an exhaustive preview of Facebook 1.5 for BlackBerry handsets back in early March and while it isn’t necessarily a huge improvement over version 1.2, improved OS integration definitely makes it a worthwhile upgrade. We can’t tell you how many comments and emails we’ve received since then asking, begging, pleading and even demanding we provide further details as to the new version’s release date. Thankfully we can put all that behind us now as version 1.5 is available for all to enjoy. That’s right people, no need to email us with threats anymore — just hit App World or http://www.blackberry.com/facebook on your handset and you’re in business. 1 defficiency thats needs to be addressed is when you create a voice note on BB mesenger it is being sent as a file and you can not save it or replay it after you send it. hopefully 5.0 plus more memory will take care of that.
Do you need to uninstall the Facebook app and then reinstall the new version?

I am getting Jboss errors…and cannot download the new app. seems to be a problem with the mobile site… Anyone else experiencing this problem??
bout time! Its a small upgrade, but any improvement is great…….heres to hoping Facebook 2.0 is closer to the iphone app.
am i missing something? downloaded the new version and NONE of the new features are there??

You’re not the only one. I keep getting errors as well. can’t seem to download via the browser or appworld.
Can’t really see *much* of an improvement. I was hoping for something that didn’t still send me to the website constantly, and since I value my contacts’ privacy, I don’t get to make use of at least one of the new features. Tempted to call this a lipstick-on-the-pig release, but I’ll hold off to see if it’s got any gems.

Meh, no 5.0 love. Kinda silly that they would release this without supporting it. Oh well.
Is it that FB 1.5 isn’t supporting 5.0, or that 5.0 isn’t supporting FB 1.5? Because 1.2 doesn’t work either on 5.0.

Who wants it closer to the iphone app? The iPhone FB app doesn’t even allow you to post pictures. BB app is way better. Iphone has chat, but it doesn’t run right.. you have to exit and re enter to see if the person even replied to you… and do that every single time.
