HTC Magic due to arrive May 5th on Vodafone UK
Good news for those of who live in the UK as you won’t have to wait too much longer to get your hands on the latest Android-powered handset. Vodafone has posted information on its website stating that anyone who pre-orders an HTC Magic should receive the Cupcake-packing touchscreen device on May 5th. Better yet, the Magic will be offered up for free on all tariffs over £30, something sure to make all of the Yanks jealous when they’re asked to produce a fist-full of cash when their Magical day arrives. So, friends across the pond, what are you waiting for?
Thanks to everyone who sent this in!

First!!!
I’m looking forward to this coming out on T-Mobile. My wife just upgraded to a G1 but I’m still holding out for the Magic any new on a release day for here in the states? This phone is going to rock.
I’d also like to know when the Magic is coming to the US.
Sorry for the double post, but for anyone who has the HTC G1, how good is the native web browser?
Since Vodafone has it, Verizon’s cousin/sister whatever you want to say, is it likely Verizon will get it too??
I hope VZW will pick this one up…seems like they’re always a little laggy when it comes the “new”.
The G1 browser function works perfectly. I’m using an unlocked on AT&T so no 3G but it works quite well on Edge and via Wifi.
I wonder if one of these Vodafone G2s will work on my AT&T network?
@RJR: I doubt it, I think the only way we can get ATT 3G would be through the Australian version of the phones. They are the only other places that uses similar frequencies. ATT is not going to pickup and Android phone any time soon
P.S. Using G1 on edge as well, wish it had better hardware – love the OS. Root ftw.
Can some1 explain how the android is better then winmo, BB in terms of the browser?
I’m courious.
