u guys forgot to add … moto may be a member, and has released phones in the past, but they will no longer do so. they r 100% android now …

LiMo should somehow merge with the Open Handset Alliance (aka Android). If they want to deliver a subset/derivative of Android, that should be no problem. It is open source.

In the end, consumers want local & web apps. Android has those and the architecture supports x86 & ARM.

Verizon?! Verizon “we lock down damned near everything on the devices we can get away with” Wireless is backing LiMo?! Wow…

Not sure there’ll be anything compelling enough to make me drop my current phone, but seeing more Linux devices out there will be sweet.
