I’ve got both generations of the Touch, and also a 16gb S9. These are two distinct categories of devices. They don’t play at the same price point, and they don’t have identical features. I pick up a Touch when I need internet based info. It’s a pocket PC/PDA. I pick up my S9 when I want to listen to music. It’s a sweet entertainer.

It really sucks that the S9 will be so much.
I was hoping for a more afforable price,but I guess if your paying for good quality then its worth it.

I don’t understand why you guys are so obsessed with the mediocre Cowon unless you’re korean and want to publicize your country’s technology. But please stop polluting your great website with free ads for poor products

Cowon is typically better than most other options for sound quality. I can’t speak for the S9, but I was impressed with the D2 on that level.

If they had a browser that was half decent on the S9, I wouldn’t mind giving it a shot.

I am going to give the Sony Walkman a chance, because I would love to avoid buying an iPod Touch.
