Interesting to see how the Sony Ericsson partnership turns out, this could evolve more or less into a phone at some point…

The idea is to take it away from Apple. They ain’t gonna take away shit with something twice the price of an ipod touch. I hate Apple and even I would choose a $250 touch over a $500 Sony.

I don’t see offering less for more money will take anything away from Apple.

As it stands right now, the 32G iPod touch already does more, and has more features for $100 less.

    Go figure.

I agree, there’s no way I’d pay that kinda money when I can get a proven Ipod Touch for much less. What’s Sony thinking with this price point?!

What the hell is Sony thinking? Apple can get away with this ridiculous pricing, cuz of their sheepish, cult-like followers…

Moron. I bet your response ass from your Mom’s basement. Sony mp3 products have great battery life but lach in features over the Ipod. So it seems fair that they price there products in a competitive way so people choose it over apple. Look how wells the Samsung p2 and p3 has done. Xbox over PS3 etc.

The iPod touch is a better choice all the way, it’s thinner, it has the best web browser on a device of it’s kind, has tons of apps. OLED screens are cool & everything but the resolution its quite not there yet.

The Device should be cheaper in the US compared to the converted cost. As far as the features compare to the ipod touch, the sound quality is far better for the sony, the OLED screen is not much better of a resolution but the colors are far better, and the battery life is at least double. although it lacks in aplications, these features should allow it to be for priced a little more (especially when the battery life makes it far more usefull)
