Early-look Android SDK 1.5 released to developers
The long awaited Android “cupcake” upgrade for the Android OS looks to be one step closer to release. An early-look version of the Android 1.5 SDK has been released to developers which includes a preview of soft keyboards, home screen widgets, live folders and speech recognition. This early version of the SDK also includes both Android 1.1 and Android 1.5, allowing developers to code for multiple OS versions within one SDK. The current release is only a preview version of course, with the final Android 1.5 SDK expected to be distributed at the end of the month. Exciting news, Android fans, though it would be slightly more exciting if we had more than one Android handset available right now…

Interesting.
Bring that shiz to the G1 by the end of April.
Ran out of leaks? Come on what’s in the bag for Q2 ‘09 hardware speaking…..
HAHA, I’m already running a very stable, very “daily driver” 1.5 “Cupcake” firmware on my G1, courtesy of the great Haykuro. Go ahead, Google his name. =)
If the G2 really is getting announced next week this makes a lot of sense.
Becoming the leader in cell phone operating systems is just the start of it. Look for Android to be ported to netbooks soon, which could offer some serious competition to Microsoft.
I have it on my G1 LMAO….
As a G1 user I’m more looking forward to a hardware upgrade rather than the software side change.
hmm, i guess the people that already have the update……..are locked out of the market?
